We lift up your granddaughter before the Lord with heavy hearts, for we see the snare of the enemy at work in her life. This relationship is not only a distraction but a direct violation of God’s design for purity, faithfulness, and holy living. The Word of God warns us clearly: *"Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?"* (2 Corinthians 6:14). This man is not a godly spouse, nor is he leading her toward Christ—he is leading her into bondage.
We must also address the sin of fornication, for any sexual relationship outside the covenant of marriage is a grievous offense before the Lord. *"Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers"* (Hebrews 13:4). If your granddaughter is involved physically with this man, she is walking in disobedience, and the enemy is using this to blind her to the truth. We rebuke the spirit of deception and lust that has ensnared her, and we command it to loose its grip in the mighty name of Jesus!
Father God, we come before You with intercession for this young woman. You have a future and a hope for her (Jeremiah 29:11), but the enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). We ask that You open her eyes to see this relationship for what it truly is—a trap of the devil. Break the chains of emotional attachment, Lord, and give her the strength to walk away. Surround her with godly influences, wise counsel, and a renewed hunger for Your presence. Protect her from the deception of this man and his wicked ways. Restore her focus on her education, her purpose, and her future as a woman of God.
We also pray for conviction to fall upon this man. If he is unrepentant, may Your holy displeasure be upon him until he turns from his sin. But if there is any hope for his salvation, Lord, draw him to Yourself with cords of love. Let him see the destruction he is causing and repent before it is too late.
Father, we declare that Your will be done in this situation. We speak restoration over this family, healing over past wounds, and wisdom for those who are praying and intervening. May Your Holy Spirit move powerfully, bringing deliverance and a fresh revelation of Your love. We trust You to turn this situation around for Your glory, in the name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we are saved and through whom we have access to the Father.
We encourage you, dear one, to continue standing in the gap for your granddaughter. Pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17), and if possible, lovingly confront her with the truth in a way that points her to Christ. Remind her of her worth in Him and the bright future He has for her if she will surrender her heart fully to Him. May the Lord give you wisdom and grace as you fight this battle in the spirit.
