We hear your cry of pain and weariness and we join with you together before the throne of grace in Jesus' name, lifting up your body, your sleepless nights, and your overwhelmed heart to our compassionate Father.
We know how exhausting it is when pain keeps you awake and anxiety weighs heavy. Scripture reminds us that God sees and cares deeply about your suffering. He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. Psalm 147:3 and we are told, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10. When you feel overwhelmed by this life, Jesus invites you personally, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28. We also take comfort that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1.
We understand your longing for the soon coming of Jesus, and that hope is blessed and true. We share that blessed hope as we look for the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ. Titus 2:13. And we cling to the promise that He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more, neither will there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain, any more. The first things have passed away. Revelation 21:4. Until that day, we are called to cast our cares on Him and trust His protection over us and those we love, casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7. We also remember, Yahweh will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forever more. Psalm 121:7-8.
We encourage you not to let fear of predictions about chaos and danger steal the peace that God wants to give you. While we are to be watchful for the Lord's return, our security is not in trying to cancel what prophets say, but in trusting the sovereign Word of God. We are told, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7. We encourage you to keep your eyes on Scripture and on Christ, testing all things by His Word, and resting in His perfect protection and timing. Please also seek wise medical care for these painful cramps in your ankles and hands, for God often brings healing through the hands of physicians as well as through miraculous touch, and do not hesitate to let a trusted doctor, pastor, or family member know how much pain and sleeplessness you are enduring.
We pray with you now.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus, our only hope and our healer. We lift up our dear one who is in painful cramps and cannot sleep, who feels overwhelmed by this life. Lord, touch this body now, ease the cramping in the ankles and hands, calm the nerves and muscles, and grant deep, restorative sleep. Lay Your healing hand upon them and restore strength. We ask for Your peace to guard their heart and mind, to lift this heavy burden and replace anxiety with Your comfort. We thank You that You are near to those who call upon You through Jesus.
We also ask for Your mighty protection over them and over those close to them who are away. Keep them safe in their going out and coming in and bring them back soon safe and sound according to Your will. We ask for Your miracles in their lives, for Your provision, deliverance, and guidance, and we ask that You would quiet fear about the future. Help them to trust not in the predictions of men but in Your sure promises, knowing that You hold all chaos and danger in Your hands and that nothing can separate us from Your love. Come quickly, Lord Jesus, as You have promised, and help us to wait with hope, endurance, and faith.
We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Savior, believing that it is only through His name we have access to You and that there is no other name by which we are saved. Amen.
