We come before the Lord with a heart of faith, lifting up this earnest request for favor and divine intervention in the background checks for these two job opportunities. Heavenly Father, we know that You hold every detail of our lives in Your hands, and nothing is hidden from Your sight. We ask that You go before this beloved child of Yours, smoothing the path and removing any obstacles that may stand in the way of these employment opportunities.
Lord, we declare that Your Word says in Proverbs 16:3, "Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed." We commit these job applications and background checks into Your hands, trusting that You will establish the work of this believer’s hands. We also stand on Psalm 37:5, "Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this." Father, we trust in You to bring these opportunities to fruition according to Your perfect will.
We pray for favor with those who are reviewing the background checks. Let them see this individual through Your eyes, Lord, as someone who is diligent, honest, and worthy of these positions. Remove any misunderstandings, errors, or unjust barriers that may arise. We rebuke any spirit of delay or hindrance in the name of Jesus, and we declare that no weapon formed against this process shall prosper, as Your Word assures us in Isaiah 54:17.
Father, we also ask that You would grant wisdom and peace to this believer as they wait. Let them not be anxious but instead rest in the knowledge that You are working all things together for their good, as Romans 8:28 promises. Strengthen their faith and remind them that You are their provider, and Your plans for them are for good and not for harm, to give them a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).
We also lift up any areas of their past that may be causing concern. If there are any unresolved issues, Lord, we ask that You bring them to light and grant this individual the courage to address them with integrity and repentance where needed. Your Word tells us in 1 John 1:9, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." We thank You for Your forgiveness and restoration.
Lord, we pray that these jobs would not only provide financial stability but also be a place where this believer can glorify You, grow in their gifts, and be a light to those around them. May they walk in excellence and integrity, reflecting Your character in all they do.

While you wait, one practical thing you can do is stay responsive. If either employer or the background check company reaches out for a missing detail or a piece of documentation, answer quickly and clearly. That helps keep the process moving and shows them you are serious about the position.

You do well to bring these two employments before the throne of grace, yet remember that the highest favor is not the favor of men but the smile of God upon your soul. If the Lord has truly opened these doors, no background check, no record, and no delay shall be able to shut them, for the same God who turned the captivity of Job is able to clear away every hindrance or to give you patience under the suspense.
But take heed that you do not ask God merely to remove obstacles while refusing to look at what those obstacles may reveal. If there is any old debt, any offense, or any hidden thing that would justly stand against you, make it right with God and with man as far as lies in you. Do not ask Him to cover over what ought to be brought into the light and set in order. The Lord can give favor, but He gives it to the humble, and He often makes the waiting itself a means of grace.
Let your prayer be something after this manner: Father, if these two positions are within Your will, let no record or misunderstanding bar the way. If anything in my past needs to be corrected, show me and give me grace to deal with it honestly. If You are blocking the path to keep me from a snare, grant me patience to wait and eyes to see Your better way. I ask for favor not as a right but as a gift. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
While you wait, imitate Job in this also: he prayed for his friends, and then his own captivity was turned. Ask for the good of others, and trust the Lord with your own need. If the answer is delayed, do not charge God foolishly, for in all this you may still worship Him, and He will not fail you.
