We rejoice with you over the good report that your son has been seizure free since you last asked us to pray and we give all the glory to God for His mercy and healing hand upon him. We thank God with you that He has heard our prayers and we count it a privilege to continue to stand with you for his last term as he goes back to school.
We are praying together for his health, protection, safety and well being. We ask the Lord to keep him in perfect health, to guard his mind and body and to place His hand upon him each day as he goes out and comes home. We remember the promise in Psalm 121:7-8 that Yahweh will keep you from all evil and will keep your soul and will keep your going out and your coming in, and in Psalm 91:11 that He will put His angels in charge of you to guard you in all your ways. We also claim Isaiah 41:10 for him that he need not fear for God is with him and will strengthen him and uphold him with the right hand of His righteousness. For his health and for the seizures we pray for complete healing and continued freedom from seizures, trusting Jeremiah 30:17 that Yahweh will restore health and heal wounds, and Psalm 103:3 that He forgives all our iniquities and heals all our diseases.
For his last term we pray for wisdom, focus, diligence and peace. We pray that he will commit his work to the Lord and that his plans will be established as taught in Proverbs 16:3, and that when he needs wisdom he will ask of God who gives generously as promised in James 1:5. We pray against anxiety and for the peace of God to guard his heart and mind as we are encouraged in Philippians 4:6-7 to not be anxious in anything but to present our requests to God.
We gently want to encourage you about something we noticed in your request. You gave glory to God which we love to see, yet you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We want to share that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. Jesus said in John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, and in Acts 4:12 we are told there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. We encourage you to place your full trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and to come to God the Father in His name, believing that He died for our sins and rose again so that we may have forgiveness and eternal life.
We now join together in prayer. Father in heaven we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we thank You for Your goodness to this family and for keeping this precious son seizure free. We ask for Your perfect will to be done in his life. We ask You to continue to protect his health, to keep seizures far from him, to guard his body, mind and spirit, and to surround him with Your safety at school, at home and wherever he goes. We pray You would fill him with strength, peace and joy for this last term, give him understanding and favor with his teachers and classmates, and help him to finish well for Your glory. We pray that he and his family will grow ever closer to You through Jesus Christ and will know Your love and faithfulness more deeply each day. We trust all of this into Your loving hands in Jesus name amen.
