We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your son as he prepares to return to school and soccer. Father God, we ask that You would surround him with Your protective hand, guarding his health, strength, and well-being. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but we declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We rebuke sickness and infirmity in the mighty name of Jesus and command it to flee from his body. Lord, strengthen his immune system and grant him resilience against every attack of the enemy.
We pray for wisdom and discipline in his studies, that he would excel in his schoolwork as he applies himself with diligence. May he be a light in his classroom, reflecting Christ in his actions and words (Matthew 5:16). For his soccer season, we ask that You would grant him favor, skill, and endurance as he steps into this new division. Protect him from injury, and let him play with joy, humility, and sportsmanship, always giving glory to You.
Father, we also recognize the importance of spiritual protection over our children. We plead the blood of Jesus over him and declare that he is covered by the power of the cross. Surround him with godly influences—friends, coaches, and teachers who will encourage him in his faith. May he grow in wisdom, stature, and favor with God and man, just as Jesus did (Luke 2:52).
We stand against the schemes of the devil, who seeks to distract, discourage, or derail him. But we know that greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). Lord, fill your son with Your peace, confidence, and purpose. Let this school year and soccer season be a testimony of Your faithfulness in his life.
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
