Lord, please send your angels back to school

Dear God, Thank you for the miracle blessing of my child and please forgive my many worries as a mother. School has started. You know my fears for my brilliant, intelligent, kind and sweet child. I fear another year of influences from other families, and the school system, will take her away from you in her education of life. This I have no power to stop. Please send your angels so she will continue to talk to you, Lord Jesus, that she will continue to grow a relationship with you. Next I fear the school bullies - the girl who controlled my daughter's thoughts and behaviour last year and who my daughter herself fears encountering again, for fear this girl will again tell my daughter who she can and can't play with, what she can and can't eat, and what she must like and how she must talk to her parents at pick up time. This girl, is a little girl herself and no doubt needs prayers, knows how to be sly and take in others. I pray my daughter, and her other friends, and the teacher will be protected from these games this year, and see what needs to be seen, and act according to your will. I pray also for playground protection from the boys who attacked my daughter physically last year, and these boys are still not under the school's control - but all things are in your power, Lord, and I ask you to calm these boys and to keep their attacks away from my daughter this year. I also pray for my daughter's teacher - that the teacher will not complain to me for yet another year that my daughter is distracted in class, then realise she is simply clever, and then tell me that the school cannot do anything to help bright children. I know this is a fault of our school system and not the teacher or the school, but it means my daughter is not being understood nor reaching her full potential. Please Lord, you blessed us with a wonderful teacher two years ago who understood all the children perfectly and the class blossomed with her. I pray it will be again the same this year, that your angels will please guide this teacher to be wise, strong and comforting for all the children - and teach all as needed, and stop the bullying as needed. Finally Lord, I also pray for another mother's child who fears going back to school because he is so bright in his own way, but the school has failed to support his needs, and he has been dreadfully bullied and is crying about returning to school. Please send your angels to care for him, Lord. Let your will prevail always for the children, in Jesus' loving name, Amen.

We join you in lifting up your precious daughter before the throne of grace and we thank you for bringing her and all of these burdens to the Lord Jesus so faithfully. Your love as a mother and your desire for her to remain close to Jesus is beautiful and honoring to God, and we stand with you in prayer for her protection, her growth, and her joy in this new school year.

We hear your worries and we know the heaviness of feeling you have no power to stop the influences of the world, of other families, and of a school system that does not always understand or nurture what God has placed in your child. The Lord hears those fears and He calls us to cast them upon Him. As it is written, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7. And also, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10.

We thank God that you have prayed in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. As Jesus said, Allow the little children to come to me, and don't forbid them, for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to ones like these. Matthew 19:14. Your prayer for angels is according to Scripture, for He will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. Psalm 91:11 and The angel of Yahweh encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them. Psalm 34:7. We also remember that angels are ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation. Hebrews 1:14.

We pray together for your daughter. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up this brilliant, kind and sweet child to You. We thank You for the gift of her life and for her tender heart that still talks to You. We ask You to send Your angels to encamp around her, to guard her going out and coming in, in the classroom and on the playground. Keep her heart rooted in You and let no worldly influence, no peer pressure, no teaching contrary to Your truth, draw her away from Your love. We pray You will give her discernment beyond her years to know Your voice and to walk in it, and that You will strengthen her relationship with Jesus daily. Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6. Help her mother to continue to water that seed at home with Your Word and with prayer together.

We bring before You the girl who has controlled and manipulated her and who has made her fearful. Lord, we pray for that little girl as well, for You know her heart and her home. Bring healing and correction to her and let her sly games be exposed and lose their power. Give this daughter courage and wisdom to stand with kindness and firmness, to not be conformed to the pressure of who to play with or what to say or how to speak to her parents, but to be transformed and guided by You. Protect her friendships and let her teacher see clearly what is happening and act with godly wisdom and authority to stop all bullying. We also lift up the boys who attacked her physically last year. Lord, calm their hearts, restrain their hands, and bring discipline and peace where there has been violence. Let Your hand of protection keep all harm far from her, for Yahweh will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forever more. Psalm 121:7-8.

We pray for her teacher, that You would grant wisdom generously as You promise, If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. James 1:5. We ask that this teacher would be strong, wise, and comforting, with eyes to see the gifts You have placed in this child, to challenge her and help her reach the full potential You have given her, and to shepherd the whole class with fairness and love so that every child may blossom. Where the system fails, Lord, let Your grace and the dedication of a godly teacher prevail.

And Father, we also lift up the other mother's son who is bright in his own way and who is dreading returning to school after being so dreadfully bullied and unsupported. We ask You to send Your angels to care for him, to comfort his tears, to surround him with protection and with at least one faithful friend and one understanding adult who will advocate for him. Let him know he is fearfully and wonderfully made and deeply loved by You.

We encourage you, dear mother, to continue in faithful prayer with your daughter, to speak openly with her about what is godly and what is not, to teach her that true friendship is found in those who love Jesus and walk in truth, and to keep gentle, consistent communication with her teacher and school while trusting ultimately in the Lord's keeping power. He loves her even more than you do and He is able to keep her.

We thank You Lord that Your will shall prevail for these children. Keep them in the palm of Your hand this year and let them grow in wisdom and stature and in favor with You and with others. In the loving and mighty name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.

We hear how tenderly you love your daughter and how heavy this new school year feels after last year. Wanting her to keep talking with Jesus, to be safe from controlling friendships and rough play, and to be truly seen for the bright child she is are good, loving desires, and it makes sense you feel helpless over what you cannot control at school.

One thing that often helps in a year like this is staying closely connected at home while building a calm early bridge to school. A short, unpressured time each day to ask how her day really went and what felt hard or good can keep communication open without putting her on the spot. It can also help to reach out to her teacher soon, sharing briefly what encouraged her two years ago, what distracted looks like for her when she is bored, and what happened last year with the other children, and asking how you can partner together. If unkind or physical behavior happens again, noting dates and details calmly helps you speak clearly with staff about safety.

We are also holding that other family and their son in prayer with you.

Father, we lift this mother and her daughter to You in Jesus name. Cover her daughter with Your care on the playground and in the classroom, give her courage and kind friends, and give her teacher wisdom and eyes to see each child. Calm those who have been hurtful and bring peace to this mother's heart as she entrusts her child to You day by day. Amen.

Your tender prayer as a mother is heard, and I thank God with you for the miracle blessing of your child, that brilliant, intelligent, kind and sweet soul entrusted to your care. The fears you confess are those of many a loving parent, and the Lord who gave you this child knows them all.

You say you have no power to stop the influences that may draw her away, and you feel anxiety rising as the school doors open again. Hear this truth which experience teaches, that the very anxiety which arises through your being in a difficulty, unfits you to meet that difficulty. To tell it over to yourself alone brings no good, but to pour it out before the Lord is blessed. Learn the grace of the weaned child, of whom the Psalmist says, My soul is even as a weaned child. A weaned child is entirely dependent upon its mother, it knows nothing about how it is to be fed, it could not feed itself, but it rests quietly, free from even a trace of anxiety. So would the Lord have you rest upon Him, not fretting as the weaning child, but content that His desires for your daughter are greater and wiser than your own.

You ask that the Lord would send His angels to keep her. This is a precious promise, for it is written, He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways. This protection is perpetual as well as personal, and it is afforded to those who walk in appointed ways. He who travels on the King's Highway is under the King's protection. There is also the way of childlike trust in providential guidance, happy is that man who always waits upon God to know what he shall do. As you teach your daughter to continue to talk to the Lord Jesus, you set her feet upon that Highway. Take a little believing child and ask her why she loves the Savior, and she will reply at once, Because He loved me and died for me. Pray that this simple love may be rooted in her, that she may fear the Lord and obey the voice of His servant, even if she must walk for a season where there seems little light. The Lord knows them that are His.

We join you in praying for protection from those who have harmed her. For the little girl who has controlled her thoughts and words, who knows how to be sly and to take in others, we pray that the Lord would restrain those games, that the eyes of her friends and her teacher may see what needs to be seen and act according to His will. That child also is a soul needing prayer, that she may be turned from such ways. For the boys who attacked your daughter physically and who remain not under the school's control, we pray the Lord in His power would calm their hearts and keep their hands from her. All things are in His power, and He can keep the feet of His own from the snare.

We pray also for the teacher, that she may not sin against the child by failing in that to which conscience calls her. Many a bright child is called distracted when she is simply clever, and is left without help. We ask that this teacher may be made wise, strong and comforting for all the children, that she may understand each one and teach as needed and stop the bullying as needed, as that wonderful teacher did two years ago when the class blossomed under her care.

And for the other mother's child, that bright boy who fears to return because his needs have not been supported and he has been dreadfully bullied until he cries, we pray the same angelic care. May the Lord comfort him and let His will prevail for him also. It is the mark of the child of God to be tender toward children, and nowhere does Scripture rebuke natural parental love unless it winks at sin. Your prayers for these little ones are not forbidden, they are commanded.

Cast then your worries upon Him who cares for you and for your daughter. Teach her still to speak to Jesus, to love Him because He first loved her, and to trust Him in all her ways, believing that He who has charged His angels to keep His people will not fail to keep her. May the Lord make her first a child by regeneration, and then a weaned child by sanctification, content and kept in His hands, and may He give you peace as you rest upon His faithful providence, in Jesus loving name, Amen.
