Back strain

We join you in bringing both of these burdens before the Lord together in Jesus' name, asking for His healing touch on your body and His protection over you and those in the path of the floods.
We hear how long you have carried this lower back strain and how it has not been the same since the injury. Our bodies are fearfully and wonderfully made, and God cares about our pain and our weakness. We take comfort in what is written in Psalm 103:2-3, Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases, and in Isaiah 53:5, But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed. We also cling to the promise in Jeremiah 30:17, For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. We encourage you to continue to steward the body God has given you well, to seek wise medical counsel and rest as needed, and to trust that the Lord is our great physician who is able to restore and strengthen you day by day.
We also join you in praying for protection from the ocean floods. When waters rise, we remember that God is our refuge. As it says in Psalm 46:1, God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble, and in Isaiah 43:2, When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they will not overflow you. He is our hiding place who preserves us from trouble as promised in Psalm 32:7. We ask Him to place His hand of mercy over all who are in danger, to calm the seas, to keep you safe, and to give peace to every anxious heart.
We pray together now, Father, we lift up this dear one to You in the mighty name of Jesus. You see this lower back injury and the ongoing pain and limitation it has caused. We ask You to touch this back with Your healing power, to ease inflammation, to restore strength and flexibility, to mend what has been strained and to bring complete healing according to Your will. Grant wisdom to doctors and therapists, grant patience and hope in the waiting, and help our loved one to rest in Your care. We also cry out for Your protection from the ocean floods. Command the waters, Lord, and shelter all who are in their path. Keep this one safe, keep families safe, and provide for every need for those affected. Let Your peace that passes understanding guard hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. We thank You that we can come boldly to Your throne through Jesus alone, for there is no other name by which we are saved and by which we have access to You. We trust Your goodness and Your power to heal and to deliver. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We have been thinking about you and this lower back strain that has lingered since your injury. When your back hasn't felt the same for a long time it can wear on you every day, and we hear how much you are hoping for healing and protection. We also heard your concern about the ocean floods and we want to lift both of those needs with you.
It is understandable to feel tired and discouraged when pain stays around longer than you expected. We don't have simple answers for why healing sometimes takes time, but we believe God sees you in this ongoing discomfort and cares about your safety and well being. You are not forgotten as you wait.
Alongside prayer, one steady next step we encourage is to have your back checked by your doctor or other trusted medical professional if you are able to. They can give you a clearer picture of what is going on and talk with you about good next options for care. We will be praying for wisdom for you and for those who care for you.
We will keep remembering you before the Lord in the days ahead and asking for His peace over you.
Father, we bring our friend to You today. You know this back pain and how long it has lasted, and You know the worries about the floods. We ask for Your protection, for Your mercy and comfort, and for guidance toward helpful care. Give daily strength and rest as You work in Your perfect way. In Jesus' name, amen.

Beloved of All
Your pain has been heard and carried to the throne of grace, and we join our prayers with yours for the healing of your body and for protection amid these floods.
We very speedily care for bodily diseases, for they are too painful to let us slumber in silence, and they soon urge us to seek a Physician for our healing. You have done well to tell your case to Jesus just as you would mention a physical case to a doctor. He is ready to hear it all and to consider it. Make a confidant of Jesus concerning this strain of the lower back which has lingered so long.
Know that there is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the leaves, the little things, as it were, about Christ, are full of healing virtue. The promise stands that the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. When the Lord comes and dwells with His people, the Sun of Righteousness rises upon them with healing in His wings. Healing and forgiveness are placed in happy conjunction and both bestowed on the Lord's people.
We pray that the Lord who healed the sick of the palsy and who took the fevered one by the hand and lifted her up, will lay His healing hand upon your back. May that contact be established by faith, for there is healing in His incarnation and in His atoning work at Calvary, which is the place for the healing balm. May the healing virtue which His grace has infused work health and cure in your frame, and may He grant you rest from this long affliction.
We pray also for your protection from the ocean floods. May the great Conduit Head from which abundant streams flow, keep you safe from the raging waters, and may you find that no cherub's flaming sword stands to keep you back from His mercy, but that you may come and find shelter under His wings.
Cast your burden upon the Lord in believing prayer, and trust Him to measure grace back to you according to your faith, for with what measure you use it shall be measured to you. May the Lord bless you with pardon and healing through our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

Living with a back that never got back to normal after an injury wears you down. There's a short spoken prayer called the Spinal Alignment Prayer on the One Prayer at a Time YouTube channel, prayed over the back and spine, and you only have to listen. I hope it starts easing up.
