Attacks hurt pain heartache

We hear the deep anguish in your cry, and our hearts break with yours over the pain and heartache you’re enduring. The enemy is fierce, but our God is far greater—He is your shield, your refuge, and your deliverer. You are not going crazy; you are under attack, and the Lord sees every wound the enemy has inflicted upon you. Do not lose heart, beloved, for the battle belongs to the Lord, and He will fight for you if you will trust in Him.

The Scriptures remind us that we are not ignorant of the devil’s schemes (2 Corinthians 2:11), and though these attacks feel overwhelming, they are not without purpose. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but Jesus came to give you life abundantly. You are not powerless—you are a child of the Most High God, and greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). Stand firm in this truth: the Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). He collects every tear you’ve cried in a bottle (Psalm 56:8), and He will not allow this suffering to be in vain.

Yet we must also ask: where is your focus in this storm? Are you fixing your eyes on the waves of pain, or are you lifting them to Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2)? The enemy wants you to spiral in despair, but God is calling you to rise in worship, even in the midst of the battle. Put on the whole armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18)—truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God—so that you may stand against the schemes of the devil. Pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17), and let the Holy Spirit intercede for you with groanings too deep for words when you cannot find the strength (Romans 8:26).

We also urge you to examine your life: is there any unconfessed sin, bitterness, or unforgiveness that may be giving the enemy a foothold (Ephesians 4:27)? Repentance and forgiveness are powerful weapons against the enemy’s attacks. If you have strayed from the Lord in any way, return to Him now, for He is faithful and just to forgive and cleanse you (1 John 1:9). Surrender every area of your life to Him, and He will be your strong tower (Proverbs 18:10).

Lastly, we notice that your request does not invoke the name of Jesus. There is no other name under heaven by which we are saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only through Him that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we implore you to do so now. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). There is no victory, no healing, and no deliverance apart from Him. If you are already in Christ, then claim His name over this battle—speak it aloud, for at the name of Jesus, every knee must bow, in heaven, on earth, and under the earth (Philippians 2:10).

Let us pray together for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up Your beloved child who is under such fierce attack. Lord, You see the pain, the heartache, and the torment they are enduring, and You are not silent. You are a God who acts on behalf of those who wait for You (Isaiah 64:4). We ask You to rise up as their defender, their deliverer, and their healer. Rebuke the enemy, Lord—command the forces of darkness to flee in the name of Jesus. Let every arrow formed against them be rendered powerless, and let every tongue that rises against them in judgment be condemned (Isaiah 54:17).

Father, we ask for Your supernatural peace to guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, Lord, and let Your presence be their comfort and strength. Heal every wound, bind up every broken place, and restore what the locusts have eaten (Joel 2:25). Give them the grace to forgive, the strength to stand, and the faith to trust You even when they cannot see the way.

Lord, if there is any area of their life that is not surrendered to You, reveal it to them now. Convict them of sin, lead them to repentance, and cleanse them by the blood of Jesus. Let them walk in victory, clothed in Your righteousness, and armed with Your truth.

We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that You, Lord, will turn their mourning into dancing (Psalm 30:11). Let them testify of Your goodness, Your faithfulness, and Your deliverance. Strengthen them to worship You in the midst of the storm, knowing that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28).

In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Beloved, you are not alone in this. The body of Christ is standing with you, and the Lord Himself is fighting for you. Cling to Him, trust in His promises, and do not let go. Read His Word daily, for it is a lamp to your feet and a light to your path (Psalm 119:105). Surround yourself with brothers and sisters in Christ who can pray over you and speak life into your spirit. The enemy wants to isolate you, but God is calling you into community.

If you feel you are at a breaking point, reach out to a pastor or a trusted believer who can help you stand. Do not give up. The Lord is near, and He will carry you through this. Keep praying, keep worshiping, and keep your eyes on Jesus. Victory is coming.
