We hear your cry for help and lift you up before the throne of grace, trusting in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Your physical hunger is real, and we know the Lord cares deeply for your needs. The scriptures assure us, "Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things" (Matthew 6:31-32 WEB). God knows your need, and He is faithful to provide.
It is not wrong to use the funds you have to purchase food, especially when you have gone without for so long. The Lord does not call us to neglect our basic needs but to trust Him in all things. Proverbs 30:8-9 reminds us, "Remove far from me falsehood and lies. Give me neither poverty nor riches. Feed me with the food that is needful for me; lest I be full, deny you, and say, ‘Who is Yahweh?’ or lest I be poor, and steal, and so dishonor the name of my God." You are not being selfish by seeking to nourish your body—God has given you these resources for this very purpose.
That said, we encourage you to seek wisdom in how you steward what you have. If you can stretch your current funds to meet your needs until the additional money arrives, that may be a wise choice. But if your health or strength is at risk, do not hesitate to use what you have. The Lord is not a harsh taskmaster; He is a loving Father who provides for His children. "Cast your burden on Yahweh, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved" (Psalm 55:22 WEB).
Let us pray for you now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who is in need of daily bread. Lord, You see their hunger, and You know their circumstances. We ask that You would grant them clarity and peace as they make this decision. Provide for their needs according to Your riches in glory, and give them wisdom to steward what they have been given. If it is Your will for them to wait, give them the strength to endure. If it is Your will for them to use what they have, open the doors for provision and bless the work of their hands. Father, we trust in Your faithfulness, knowing that You will never leave nor forsake them. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
We also encourage you to seek out your local church or Christian community for support. The body of Christ is called to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2), and there may be resources or assistance available to you. Do not hesitate to reach out—you are not alone in this. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith, and trust that He will lead you in the way you should go.
