Beloved of All
Thank you for entrusting so many heavy burdens to prayer and for persevering even when requests have been deleted or feel forgotten. God sees and hears all that you have laid before Him, and He knows each name and situation behind every place you have written.
We join you in asking the Lord for His strong protection and for breakthrough according to His wisdom and mercy. We ask Him to give you encouragement, help and wisdom, and to pour out His anointing on every outreach, service and sermon, including the preparation you mentioned and the evening of prayer and praise this Friday. May He be present in power, convict hearts where needed, raise up faithful prayer warriors, guard His people from evil, and save many through the preaching of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have salvation.
We pray with you for the persecuted church around the world, for those who do not yet know Christ that they would hear His voice and believe, for the peace of Jerusalem, and for all who suffer in war zones, in calamities, and for abused children and all who are vulnerable. Faith comes by hearing the word of God, and we ask that the voice of the Bridegroom would be heard and bring many into His Church.
You have asked for help with many conflicts, some long remembered and some forgotten, in the church, at work, in your team and meetings, and between individuals. Scripture teaches that many conflicts spring from roots within the heart such as covetousness, envy or vainglory. We pray that God would cut out the root and heal the fruit, that He would teach us to hold lightly to earthly money, honor and glory, and to treasure what is above which no one can steal. Where you have been dragged into conflict, may He help you to stand with grace and truth, and where you are tempted to rush into strife, may He give you quietness and patience to wait for His timing. Since we are members of one body, the Church throughout the world, we ask for true peace and reconciliation where it is possible, and for wisdom to do all work in a manner pleasing to Him.
For every relationship you have mentioned, we pray that God would bring conviction where there is sin, healing where there are soul wounds, and salvation above all. We ask that He would confront what is not of Him and stop what is harmful, and that He would lead every relationship into conformity with His good design. We do not ask God to bless what is outside His will, but we ask that every relationship be brought into the light of Christ, that purity be honored, that marriage be honored as a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and that living together and sexual intimacy be reserved for within that covenant. Where a relationship is not in keeping with this, we pray for loving conviction, repentance, and either a holy renewal within God's design or a gracious and clear ending, and for healing and a true knowledge of His love as Father.
We pray for healing for those who are sick and wounded in body and soul, for the young woman you mentioned with school and exams, that God would show Himself as Father to her, guard her, encourage her and heal her, and for others who need miracles of healing and restoration. We pray for help at work, for guidance and protection over your team, for wisdom with the issue at church and for truth to be made clear, and for strength in your own weakness. We pray for those who have drifted away, that the Lord would bring them back in His time.
You confessed speaking about another person to others. We thank God that when we confess, He forgives through Christ, and we ask that He would turn even that into blessing and restore trust where it has been hurt.
We know that the Christian life is a wrestling and that God sometimes allows trials to go long and deep so that greater gain and greater dependence on Him may come, and that relief is often nearer than we think. May you be encouraged that He who proved Job and restored him, who kept the three young men in the furnace, is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we ask or think, and that the earth will be filled with His glory.
We pray all this not because we deserve it, but because of the mercy of Jesus Christ our Lord, asking that His will be done and that you would be strengthened with love, authority, inspiration and favor to continue faithfully.
