Asking the Lord's help

You heap up many requests, as if the urgent accumulation of words would move the heart of God. But our Master taught us that the Father knows what we need before we ask. The just shall live by faith, and if anyone draws back in anxious fear, His soul has no pleasure in him. Do you believe He is the God who answers, or do you fear your voice is lost among the crowd of concerns?

Consider this: we have this ministry only because we obtained mercy. We faint not by tightening our grip on all these outcomes but by loosening our hold and entrusting them into His hand. You ask for breakthrough, yet the greatest breakthrough is a soul fixed in trust, not scattered among a hundred worries. Bring each need, yes, but bring them quietly, steadily, with thanksgiving, not desperation. The High Priest who offered Himself to make reconciliation for the sins of the people is not deaf to your cry.

Where you ask for conviction upon others, examine first your own heart. Do you seek their correction with the same grief and love with which Christ seeks you? There is a zeal that builds up, and a zeal that tears down in the name of righteousness. Pray rather that you and they alike would be granted repentance unto life. The God who put in us the word of reconciliation will do His work, He does not need our compulsion, only our faithful, humble witness.

For the work, the sermons, the gatherings: you tremble about anointing as though it were a fickle thing that must be wrung from God. But the gifts differ according to the grace given. Do you have a ministry? Give yourself to it with simplicity. Do you teach? Teach with the strength God supplies. The power is not manufactured in the hour of desperate pleading but flows from a life that has renounced the hidden things of shame and walks in the light.

The many people you name, He knows them. The persecuted Church, Israel, the suffering in war, children abused, He sees them. You cannot carry the whole world's sorrow without breaking, nor were you meant to. Carry what He places before you today with faithful prayer and upright action, then trust the rest to the One who judges justly.

Cease from anxious enumeration. A brief, believing sigh from a quiet soul reaches heaven more swiftly than this torrent of words driven by fear. Stir up the gift that is in you, fulfill your ministry without fainting, and remember that we are not of those who draw back to perdition, but of those who believe to the saving of the soul.

You have poured out a great many burdens here, and I can hear how deeply you long for God to move in power. The tangled threads of relationships, conflicts, work, ministry, and healing all run through your mind, and you are right to bring them before the Lord. In the middle of these circling needs, one thing rises to the surface as the principal gift you need: wisdom from above.

Wisdom is not merely knowledge or cleverness. The world has its own wisdom, but it is earthly, driven by striving and envy, and it comes to nothing. God’s wisdom is different. It is pure, peaceable, full of mercy and good fruit. It was present at creation and is personified in Christ, in whom all treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden. When you ask for breakthroughs and anointing for your outreaches and sermons, remember that Paul did not come with enticing words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power. That same anointing flows from a heart rooted in the fear of the Lord, for that is where wisdom begins. The fear of the Lord is to hate evil; to depart from evil is understanding.

So as you pray about conflicts with people you have named, or about those who need conviction and healing, ask the Lord to give you His wisdom. His wisdom will teach you how to speak truth in love, when to be silent, and how to pursue genuine reconciliation without compromising righteousness. For the relationships that are dysfunctional or feeding off what is not of God, wisdom will show you that sometimes deliverance comes through holy boundaries and a refusal to enable what God calls sin. God’s wisdom does not affirm what He calls evil; it leads to life and purity.

As for the things you have mentioned to others or the words brought to you, lay them down and ask for wisdom to cover those conversations. God can turn even our missteps into blessings for all when we humble ourselves under His hand. He is able to do exceedingly abundantly beyond what we ask or think, but He often works that through the quiet, persevering pursuit of wisdom rather than a quick untangling of every knot. Wisdom is better than rubies, and all the things you desire, peace at work, help with studies, healing for the sick, salvation for the lost, cannot compare to the value of gaining the wisdom that comes from God.

For your sermon preparation and the prayer gatherings, do not strive in your own strength. Wisdom cries out in the streets, calling all to listen. That same voice of wisdom, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, is available to you. Ask for that anointing, and trust that as you speak, God will demonstrate His power, not because you have crafted perfect words, but because your faith stands in His power, not in the wisdom of men.

Pray for those you love, pray against the evil you see, and pray for the persecuted, for Israel, and for suffering children. But in all your praying, keep this request central: “Lord, grant me a heart of wisdom.” When you have that, you will find clarity for the decisions ahead, a gentle authority born of humility, and the ability to walk through these conflicts without being consumed by them. The Lord is pleased when we ask for wisdom above riches or fame, and He gives it liberally.

May the earth be filled with His glory, and may that glory begin in your own heart through a fresh fear of the Lord and a love for His wisdom. Walk in that, and you will see His hand at work in the very things you have laid before Him.

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer during this time of intense spiritual battle. Your heart for protection, breakthrough, and healing—both for yourself and for so many others—has been lifted before the Lord with earnestness and faith. We have prayed fervently for the stronghold of God’s protection to surround you, for His mighty hand to shatter every chain of oppression, and for His wisdom and anointing to rest upon every outreach, service, and relationship you mentioned.

We have interceded for the conflicts you carry, asking the Lord to bring resolution, conviction, and true reconciliation where it is needed most. We have pleaded for the salvation of the lost, the healing of the broken, and the deliverance of those bound by evil. We have lifted up the persecuted, the suffering, and the forgotten, asking God to move in power and mercy. We have sought His intervention in every exam, every meeting, every strained relationship, and every personal struggle, trusting that He hears and answers according to His perfect will.

If the Lord has already moved in any of these areas—if you’ve seen breakthrough, protection, or encouragement—we would be overjoyed to hear your praise report so we can rejoice with you. If, however, the battle still feels heavy and the answers seem delayed, we want you to know we are still here. We stand ready to press in again, to lift these requests anew, and to believe with you for the miracles only God can perform.

May the Lord continue to strengthen you, guide you, and fill you with His peace as you seek Him. May His presence go before you in every situation, and may His glory be revealed in ways that exceed all you could ask or imagine. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
