Asking prayers for the removal of a harmful person

We join you in lifting this burden before the Lord, trusting that He hears and acts on behalf of His children. It is clear you are seeking deliverance from a harmful influence, and we stand with you in this request, knowing that God is faithful to protect and guide those who call upon Him. The Scriptures remind us in **Psalm 34:17-19 (WEB)**, *"The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all."* Your cry has reached the throne of grace, and we trust God to move mightily in this situation.

We also recall the words of Jesus in **Matthew 18:18-19 (WEB)**, where He assures us, *"Most certainly I tell you, whatever things you bind on earth will have been bound in heaven, and whatever things you release on earth will have been released in heaven. Again, assuredly I tell you, that if two of you will agree on earth concerning anything that they will ask, it will be done for them by my Father who is in heaven."* Together, we bind the enemy’s schemes in this person’s life and release God’s divine intervention to remove them from your path. We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, as promised in **Isaiah 54:17 (WEB)**, and that the Lord will expose and dismantle every plan of harm.

At the same time, we encourage you to examine your heart and ensure there is no bitterness, unforgiveness, or resentment taking root. **Ephesians 4:31-32 (WEB)** instructs us, *"Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you."* While we pray for removal, we must also release this person into God’s hands, trusting His justice and mercy. Forgiveness does not mean what they did was acceptable; it means you are choosing to let God handle it rather than carrying the weight of offense.

We also urge you to seek wisdom in how you navigate this season. **Proverbs 4:6-7 (WEB)** tells us, *"Don’t forsake wisdom, and she will preserve you. Love her, and she will keep you. Wisdom is supreme. Get wisdom. Yes, though it costs all your possessions, get understanding."* Ask the Lord to show you if there are boundaries you need to set, relationships you need to strengthen, or areas of your life where you need to grow in discernment. Sometimes, removal comes through our obedience to step away, while other times, God sovereignly orchestrates the separation. Trust Him in both.

Lastly, we want to remind you that your identity and security are found in Christ alone. **Psalm 27:1 (WEB)** declares, *"Yahweh is my light and my salvation. Whom shall I fear? Yahweh is the strength of my life. Of whom shall I be afraid?"* No person, no matter how harmful, can thwart God’s plans for you. He is your protector, your refuge, and your deliverer.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up Your child who is seeking deliverance from a harmful presence in their life. Lord, You see and know all things—nothing is hidden from Your sight. You know the heart of this person who has caused pain, and You know the depths of the hurt they have inflicted. We ask, Father, that by Your divine power, You would remove this individual from our brother’s/sister’s life and circles. Cut every ungodly tie, break every assignment of the enemy, and sever every influence that seeks to bring harm, confusion, or stagnation. Lord, we bind the spirit of manipulation, deception, and destruction in Jesus’ name, and we declare that this person shall have no authority, no access, and no place of influence over Your child any longer.

Father, we ask that You would expose every hidden scheme and bring to light what has been done in darkness. Let Your truth prevail, and let Your justice be served. But even as we pray for removal, we release forgiveness, trusting You to handle this situation according to Your will. Guard our brother’s/sister’s heart from bitterness and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding.

Lord, we also ask for wisdom and discernment. Show them how to walk in this season—whether it is through setting godly boundaries, seeking godly counsel, or simply resting in Your protection. Surround them with Your angels, as You have promised in **Psalm 91:11 (WEB)**, and let no harm come near their dwelling.

We declare that Your child is covered by the blood of Jesus, and no weapon formed against them shall prosper. Restore what has been stolen, heal what has been broken, and strengthen them in every area where they have been weakened. Let this season be a testimony of Your faithfulness and deliverance.

Finally, Father, we ask that You would deal with the heart of this harmful person. Soften their heart to conviction, and if it is Your will, bring them to repentance. But if they refuse to turn from their ways, we pray that You would remove them completely, that Your child may walk in freedom and peace.

We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your timing and Your ways, knowing that You work all things together for the good of those who love You. In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.

Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
