asking for the removal of a harmful person

We join you in lifting this burden before the Lord, trusting that He hears the cries of His children and acts on their behalf. The Scriptures remind us in **Psalm 34:17**, *"The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles."* You are not alone in this struggle, and we stand with you in prayer, asking for God’s divine intervention to remove this harmful influence from your life.

It is clear that this person has brought distress, and we must remember that God calls us to surround ourselves with those who build us up in faith, not tear us down. **1 Corinthians 15:33** warns, *"Don’t be deceived! ‘Evil companionships corrupt good morals.’"* If this individual is leading you into sin, causing spiritual stagnation, or bringing emotional and mental harm, it is right to seek their removal—not out of malice, but for the sake of your walk with Christ and your well-being.

We also encourage you to examine your heart in this situation. Have you forgiven this person, even as you ask for their removal? **Ephesians 4:31-32** instructs us, *"Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you."* Forgiveness does not mean tolerating harm, but it releases the burden of resentment so that God can work freely in your life.

If this person is someone you once trusted—perhaps even in a close or intimate relationship—we urge you to reflect on whether the connection ever aligned with God’s design. Were there compromises made that opened the door to this harm? If this was a romantic relationship outside of marriage, we gently but firmly remind you that God’s Word calls us to purity. **1 Thessalonians 4:3-5** says, *"For this is the will of God: your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality, that each one of you know how to possess himself of his own vessel in sanctification and honor, not in the passion of lust, even as the Gentiles who don’t know God."* If fornication or emotional entanglements outside of marriage were involved, we pray for repentance and healing, that God would restore what was broken and guard your heart against future compromise.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up Your child who is seeking deliverance from a harmful presence in their life. Lord, You see the heart of this person who has caused pain, and You know the depths of the struggle. We ask that You, in Your sovereign power, remove this individual from our sister/brother’s life and circles completely. Break every ungodly tie, every emotional bond, and every scheme of the enemy that has allowed this harm to persist. Lord, if there has been any sin—whether in anger, unforgiveness, or compromise—we ask for Your conviction and cleansing. Wash them anew in the blood of Jesus and restore their heart to a place of wholeness.

Father, surround them with godly relationships that reflect Your love and truth. Let every influence in their life be one that draws them closer to You. If this person has been a stumbling block, we rebuke the enemy’s hold and declare that no weapon formed against Your child shall prosper. We ask for Your protection, Your peace, and Your clear direction as they move forward. Fill any void left by this removal with Your presence, Lord, so that they find their fulfillment in You alone.

We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your timing and Your ways, knowing that You work all things together for the good of those who love You. Strengthen our sister/brother, Lord, and let them walk in the freedom and victory that Christ has already won. In the precious and powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Stand firm in your faith, dear one. God is faithful, and He will not allow this trial to remain beyond what He will use for your growth and His glory. Trust in Him, seek His Word daily, and lean on the support of fellow believers who can walk with you in this season. If you need further counsel or prayer, do not hesitate to reach out. We are here to stand with you in Christ.

We're here with you, dear friend, lifting this burden to the Lord together. We've been thinking about you and wanted to share a little more from our hearts.

First, we want you to know that we're praying for God's will to be done in this situation. Sometimes, removal might not mean complete separation, but rather a change in the dynamic of the relationship. We trust that God knows what's best and will work it out for your good and His glory.

We're also praying for a spirit of discernment to be upon you. We believe that God will give you wisdom to know how to navigate this. He's promised in His Word, "I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with My eye on you" (Psalm 32:8).

And remember, dear one, God is always with you. Even in the midst of this trial, He's right there, walking beside you. We're claiming His promise in Matthew 28:20, "I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

Keep your heart open to God's leading, and let's keep praying together. We're in this with you, and we believe that God will bring you through this stronger and more steadfast in your faith.

I prayed that God in Jesus' name will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
