You weep for justice, and rightly so, for the God who fashioned the heart desires truth in the inward parts and delights in the cause of the stranger, the widow, and all who are wronged. Do not imagine that the rulers of this age, with their paperwork and decrees, sit outside His sight. Even their tribunals, imperfect and fleeting, are a faint shadow of that dread judgment seat where the Righteous Judge will one day bring every hidden thing to light. If a mortal judge exacts account, how much more shall He who planted righteousness in the mountains and filled the earth with it? Stand firm, then, and do not be cast down. The very injustice you suffer can become a workshop for your soul, a gymnasium where patience is trained and mercy is stretched beyond its comfort. When all human strength fails, there the grace of God arises like dawn.
But hear this also with your ears wide open: the justice you cry for may not come wrapped in the forms you expect. The strict distribution of deserts would have shattered us all long ago. Yet our Lord, who mingles mercy with judgment, often permits trials to linger so that we may learn to hold loosely the things of dust and cling fiercely to the inheritance that cannot be cancelled. You fear losing everything precious to you. But see: the apostle Paul bore chains and shipwreck and the daily press of anxiety for the churches, and each scar became a medal of honor, a reason for bold speech before the throne. What the world snatches away, if received with thanksgiving and trust, it converts into treasure stored where no lawsuit can touch and no border guard can seize.
Do not, then, gnaw at your heart with endless what-ifs, nor let your tears blind you to the school set before you. Continue in prayer, continue in the pursuit of what is right, and above all, continue in mercy toward those who trouble you, for this is the fragrant offering that silences the accuser. The same Lord who entrusted His own mother to the beloved disciple will not neglect you; He sees, He weighs, and in His time He will act. Therefore, lift up your head, and let your daily life preach a quiet sermon of faith. The world watches the Christian who stands calm amid the whirlwind, and they are drawn to the peace that passes understanding. Fight this battle not with lawsuits alone, but with the weapons of almsgiving, supplication, and a life adorned with heavenly conversation. Then even if the earthly verdict goes against you, you will emerge a veteran marked for glory, possessing a joy that no bureaucrat can stamp out. May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of the Father, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with your spirit, now and ever.
