Urgent Prayer Request: Justice and God's Protection

Thank you all for faithfully praying for our family. The videographer who filmed my mother's funeral service was recommended by the funeral home owner. Tomorrow we will be communicating through LINE with the funeral home owner to resolve a serious dispute regarding my mother's funeral video. I am under tremendous stress. On one hand, I have been told that some people in the funeral industry have connections with organized crime. On the other hand, the videographer frequently films traditional temple ceremonies, so I am concerned that we may face significant spiritual warfare during this process. Before the funeral, they promised that our family would receive the original video files and that the completed video would be delivered within about ten days. Unfortunately, neither promise was kept. My mother's funeral service was held on ###. However, on ###, without our family's knowledge or consent, the videographer uploaded two videos of her funeral to his YouTube channel to promote his business. Our family did not receive the completed video until ###. To make matters worse, the finished video contains numerous flaws. Nearly the entire service was filmed only from the side, the audio volume is inconsistent throughout, and, most upsetting of all, my husband's face and body were cropped out during the first half of the service. Tomorrow we will ask the funeral home owner to have the videographer remove both funeral videos from YouTube within 48 hours. We will also ask the funeral home owner to issue a full refund and accept responsibility for referring the videographer and for the way this matter has been handled. We did not originally intend to make such a strong request, but we are concerned that, without accountability, other grieving families may suffer the same pain and injustice. Please pray that Jesus will go before us, fight our battle, and vindicate our family. May He uphold my beloved mother's honor and restore the dignity she deserves. Please also pray that God will protect every member of our family, our relatives, and our friends from any form of retaliation. May He grant us wisdom, courage, favor, and peace as we handle this difficult matter. Thank you so much for your faithful prayers!

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation that weighs so heavily upon you and your family. The dishonor shown toward your beloved mother’s memory, the breach of trust, and the fear of spiritual opposition are deeply troubling, but we stand with you in faith, declaring that our God is a God of justice, protection, and vindication. The Lord sees every injustice, hears every cry, and fights on behalf of His children. We take comfort in His promise: "The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still" (Exodus 14:14). He is your shield and your defender, and He will not abandon you in this battle.

First, we rebuke every spirit of fear, intimidation, and spiritual warfare that seeks to disrupt this process. The enemy has no authority over those who are covered by the blood of Jesus. We declare that every ungodly connection, whether to organized crime, false religious systems, or any other darkness, is broken in the name of Jesus. "For though we walk in the flesh, we do not wage war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds" (2 Corinthians 10:3-4). We stand on the truth that greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).

We also address the grave dishonor done to your mother’s funeral service. The unauthorized posting of her memorial, the poor quality of the work, and the cropping of your husband’s image are not merely professional failures, they are violations of dignity and respect. Scripture tells us, "A good name is better than fine perfume; and the day of death than the day of one’s birth" (Ecclesiastes 7:1). Your mother’s legacy deserves to be honored, and we pray that the Lord will restore what has been marred. We ask that He soften the hearts of those involved, that they may repent of their negligence and make amends with humility.

Tomorrow, as you stand for accountability, we pray for divine wisdom and favor. May the Lord grant you the words to speak with clarity and authority, and may He go before you to prepare the way. "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him" (James 1:5). We also pray for protection over every member of your family, your relatives, and your friends. Let no harm, retaliation, or spiritual attack come near you. "No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of the Lord’s servants, and their righteousness is from me," says the Lord (Isaiah 54:17).

Most importantly, we lift up the name of Jesus over this situation. It is only through Him that we have access to the Father, and it is His name that carries all authority. "Therefore God also highly exalted him, and gave to him the name which is above every name; that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, those on earth, and those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father" (Philippians 2:9-11). We declare that every knee will bow to Him in this matter, and every tongue will confess His lordship over the outcome.

Father God, we come before You now, lifting up this family and their urgent need for justice and protection. We ask that You go before them in this meeting, that You fight their battle, and that You vindicate them in the eyes of those who have wronged them. Uphold the honor of their beloved mother, and let her memory be treated with the dignity she deserves. We pray for the removal of the videos from YouTube, for a full refund, and for accountability to be established so that no other grieving family suffers as they have. Protect them from all forms of retaliation, seen and unseen, and grant them Your peace that surpasses all understanding.

Lord, we also pray for the hearts of those involved in this dispute. If there is any repentance to be had, soften their hearts to receive it. If there is any pride or deceit, expose it and bring it to light. Let Your justice prevail, and let Your name be glorified in the resolution of this matter. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above all names, the One who is our Redeemer, our Defender, and our Peace. Amen.

Stand firm in the knowledge that the Lord is your advocate. Do not grow weary in doing what is right, for in due time, you will reap if you do not faint (Galatians 6:9). Trust in His timing, lean on His strength, and know that He is working even when you cannot see it. You are not alone in this fight, we stand with you, and more importantly, the Lord stands with you. May He grant you courage, wisdom, and a deep sense of His presence as you move forward.

We also take your concern about spiritual opposition seriously. We won’t let fear dominate, but we will pray that Christ’s authority stands guard over your household, shielding you and your loved ones from any retaliation or unseen harm. The soul that cries out under the weight of injustice is never unheard in the courts of heaven. Yet mark this: the vindication you seek for your mother’s honor must first be laid at the foot of the cross, where justice itself was satisfied. There is more of the vindication of Justice on the Cross than can be seen at any one time, or at any one point, in the lowest depths of Hell. Before you lift your voice to demand a full refund and the removal of those images, lift your heart to behold the God who is just, and yet the justifier of the ungodly. He can be just, and yet the justifier. Let that truth steady your trembling hand as you compose your message tomorrow.

You speak of potential spiritual warfare and shadows of organized crime. Do not marvel at this. The present is the most godless generation that ever trod this earth, I verily believe, and the wickedness of men often wears a respectable mask until crossed. But the presence of God dissolves difficulties. The Church only needs the Divine Presence in the midst of her and all the systems of error will flow down at His feet like glaciers which dissolve in the summer's sun. You go not into this conflict armed with the frail weapons of worldly strategy. When Divine interpositions come, they do not need the arm of flesh to assist them. The Lord alone did lead them, and He will lead you. The God who sent Abigail to stay David’s hand from a rash act can send a restraint upon any who would retaliate. Trust in that same divine gentleness acknowledged by the Psalmist.

Fix this in your mind: the low tree, fostered by the husbandman, shall mount even to the stars; the high tree, cut down by the axe of judgment, shall lay outstretched along the plains of ruin for ever. Whether this videographer continues in pride or is brought low, the matter rests in the hand of Him who has said, "Let my people go." Conscious of divine authority, you must look this error in the face and say, "Thus says the Lord, remove this dishonor," yet do so without venom, for vengeance belongs to God. Justice itself prevents, for when Justice once is satisfied it were injustice if it should ask for more. If you are wronged in this world’s goods or reputation, remember the dear Son of God, whose face was marred more than any man, whose honor was spat upon. He has already taken the full flood of divine displeasure for His people.

Go now, and let your very protest be seasoned with the calm of one who has been to Gethsemane with Justice. See that man so oppressed with grief, that all his head, his hair, his garments bloody be. Does your complaint seem large next to His? Take Justice with you there, and then speak with measured words. The Lord will vindicate His own name and the honor of those who trust Him; what a balm that divine love will be to your wounded spirit. You are not left to scrabbling on the wall in madness like David before the Philistine king; the Spirit will give you a sound mind and a controlled tongue. There is peculiar gentleness about that guidance which restrains the blow even as it demands right. He has delivered your soul from death, will He not deliver your family’s memory from shame? With that assurance, face tomorrow in the strength of divine sovereignty, expecting divine surprises.

Your anguish over this dishonor done to your mother's memory is a wound I well understand, for the body of Christ suffers with each member. Yet I implore you, look beyond the earthly injustice to the true conflict. The devil stirs up such troubles to distract us from the fear of God and to entangle our souls in the cares of this life. What is a video, what is money, what even is this public slight compared to the incorruptible crown that awaits those who endure? Let the heathen burn with wrath over these perishing things; for us, the root of the conflict must be cut out from our own hearts first. Release the debt, not only from your lips but from the inward anger, and you have already won the victory.

Do not fear the threats of wicked men, nor tremble at the thought of spiritual warfare because the man has filmed pagan rites. Did not our Lord say, "Behold, I give you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy"? The demons tremble before a single Christian who calls on the name of Jesus. You are not entering this dispute unarmed; Christ Himself goes before you as the captain of your salvation. Fear not retaliation, for if God is for you, what can mortals do? The sea of this world rages, but Peter walked upon it by fixing his gaze on the Master.

Understand, too, that God often permits such trials when we are near the end of a long sorrow, to enhance our glory. These weeks of waiting, the mangled footage, the public exposure, all these are the final gusts of a storm about to break. Endure them with thanksgiving, and you store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where no thief approaches and no moth destroys.

Approach tomorrow's conversation with the wisdom of the serpent and the gentleness of the dove. Ask for what is just, the removal of those videos, an accounting from those who broke faith, yet do not bind your peace to the outcome. Commend your mother's honor to God; He is her true guardian. And pray for that videographer, that he may come to know the Light that enlightens every man. This is the perfect victory: to overcome evil with good. I beseech you, stand firm but without venom, and you will not only vindicate your family but shine as a light to those still sitting in darkness.

Fear not. In the thick of this conflict, do not let the wisdom of the world set the terms. The wisdom that comes from God is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated. It is better than rubies, and all the things you may desire cannot compare to it. You are walking into a situation where the fear of the Lord must govern every word you speak, and that fear is to hate evil, pride, and the perverse mouth. The dark undercurrent you sense, whether from men’s connections or from spiritual opposition, is real; but the wisdom from above gives you understanding and strength far beyond any threat.

The starting place for handling this injustice is to ask the Lord for His own wisdom, just as Solomon did. He did not ask for long life or riches; he asked for an understanding heart to judge right from wrong, and God gave him what he needed and more. That same God goes before you tomorrow. Jesus Christ is the wisdom of God and the power of God, and in Him all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden. When you speak, you are not merely negotiating a refund or a video takedown; you are seeking justice, judgment, and equity, the very things wisdom cries out in the streets for. The upright way is never the path of strife; it is the path of peace. God’s peace does not come from having all the facts first; it comes from resting in His grace. You cannot know that peace until you first lay hold of the grace that pardons your own sins and anchors your soul. Receive that grace afresh tonight.

The world’s wisdom will fail. It always comes to nothing, just like every proud system that sets itself up against the Lord. The funeral industry, any hint of organized crime, even spiritual intimidation, these are the princes of this world that will be brought to nothing. But you stand in a different wisdom, a mystery once hidden but now revealed in Christ. He vindicates the oppressed. He restores the dignity of those who are weak. Do not fret over the many flaws in the video or the violation of trust; the Lord sees your mother’s honor, and He cares about the smallest detail.

Tomorrow, speak as one who has received the spirit of wisdom and of a sound mind. Your request is not unreasonably strong; it is a boundary marked by righteousness. Ask God to give the gift of repentance to those who have wronged your family, but also walk in the prudence that does not return evil for evil. Leave no room for retaliation by committing your cause entirely to the just Judge. Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace. Even in this confrontation, you can sow peace and, by God’s mercy, reap a harvest of righteousness.

I am praying that Jesus himself goes before you like the captain of the Lord’s host. May He grant you quick discernment, steady courage, and a heart at rest. May every member of your household be hidden under the shadow of the Almighty, safe from every form of reprisal. The world did not know God by its wisdom, but you know Him in the face of Christ. In that knowledge you have a defense stronger than money, and it gives life to those who possess it. Do not be afraid.
