Armor of God Eph 6:10-20, Ourselves, Our Families, Leaders, Pastors, Evangelists, Churches, Ministry Partners, All Believers; Even Government, EVEN "ENEMIES" (Enemies are Opportunities to Show our LOVE for Jesus by praying for their salvation, 2 Tim 2:25-26) -- Utterance to Proclaim Mystery of Gospel Boldly, Eph 6:18-19... Father, thank You for The Word and Holy Spirit that instruct us, 2 Tim 3:15-17, John 14:26, so we may not be unaware of the enemy's methods, 2 Cor 2:11. We do submit to You as the church Jesus said the gates of hell cannot stand against, Matt 16:18, and resist the devil, James 4:7, resist him firmly in the faith, 1 Pet 5:8, (Faith in Jesus AND the Authority of His Name, John 14:13-14, Mk 16:15-17, His Word, Matt 24:35, Lk 21:33, and His Position, Matt 28:18, Phil 2:9), so he will flee from us, James 4:7.

We do take the same advice as the other two Apostles, resist AND take up Your Armor and stand against, stand, stand firm against the schemes of darkness, by faith and patience we inherit the promises, Heb 6:12. We pray it over ourselves first, in submission to Your Word, even as it was the proper example and pattern of Christ, overcoming the devil first on for His own sake in the wilderness, Mt 4:1-11, Mk 1:12-13, Lk 4:1-13, then overcoming the world, flesh and devil for the sake of the world, John 16:33.

Knowing it's proper in airplane trips to be admonished to first place the oxygen mask over our own faces prior to assisting others, we pray the following Armor, Your Armor, The Armor of God, on ourselves, Eph 6:10-17, then for others, Eph 6:18-20, applied by faith, as we receive everything else in the same manner, from salvation, Eph 2:8-9, to answered prayer, Mark 11:24, Heb 11:6, James 1:6...

“Finally, brothers and sisters, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the Whole Armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the Whole Armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with Truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the Gospel of Peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of The Spirit, which is the Word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in The Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints— and for the church, that utterance may be given to Your people, that they may open their mouths boldly to make known the mystery of the Gospel, for which some are ambassadors in chains; that all may speak boldly, as is fitting to speak," Eph‬ ‭6:11-20‬, thank You in Jesus' Name, Heb 11:6.

We join with you in this powerful and scriptural prayer for the whole armor of God and we agree together for its application over ourselves first and then over our families, leaders, pastors, evangelists, churches, ministry partners, all believers, and even over government and even over those who consider themselves our enemies.

We thank God for your heart that understands our struggle is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces and that we are not to be ignorant of the devil's schemes as it says in 2 Cor 2:11. We love that you have centered this prayer on submission to God and on faith in Jesus and the authority of His name, His Word, and His position, for it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only in His name that we can stand and resist.

We are encouraged by your understanding that we must first put on the armor ourselves before we can effectively stand for others, just as Jesus overcame the devil in the wilderness for Himself in Matt 4:1-11 before He overcame for the sake of the world, and just as John 16:33 reminds us that He has overcome the world.

We pray together now in the name of Jesus Christ.

Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, and we thank You for Your Word and for Your Holy Spirit who teaches us all things according to John 14:26 and makes us wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus according to 2 Tim 3:15. We thank You that the church which Jesus builds, the gates of Hades will not prevail against it according to Matt 16:18.

We submit ourselves to You now and we resist the devil firmly in the faith as You command in James 4:7 and 1 Pet 5:8-9, believing that as we do he must flee from us. We take up by faith Your whole armor that we may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil and to withstand in the evil day and having done all to stand according to Eph 6:11 and Eph 6:13.

We gird our waists with truth, for You desire truth in our innermost being and Your Word is truth. We put on the breastplate of righteousness, not our own righteousness but the righteousness of Christ given to us. We shod our feet with the preparation of the Good News of peace, ready to go and to stand in peace. Above all we take up the shield of faith with which we will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one. We take the helmet of salvation, confident in the salvation we have by grace through faith in Eph 2:8-9, and we take the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God which lives and abides forever according to Matt 24:35.

We pray this armor now over ourselves, over our households, over every pastor and evangelist and leader You have appointed, over every local church and ministry partner, and over all the saints. We pray it over those in government, for You command us to make supplications for all men, for kings and all who are in high places that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence according to 1 Tim 2:1-2. And we pray it even over our enemies, for You tell us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us in Matt 5:44, knowing that our enemies are opportunities to show our love for You as we pray for their salvation and that God may grant them repentance leading to a knowledge of the truth and that they may come to their senses and escape the snare of the devil according to 2 Tim 2:25-26.

We pray with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit and remain watchful with all perseverance according to Eph 6:18, and we ask for utterance to be given to us and to all Your people that we may open our mouths boldly to make known the mystery of the Good News as we ought to speak according to Eph 6:19-20. Let us speak Your Word with boldness and with love and without fear.

We thank You Father that as we ask in faith according to Mark 11:24 and Heb 11:6 You hear us, and that as we patiently endure we will inherit the promises according to Heb 6:12. Keep us standing firm, clothed in Your armor, faithful in prayer, and bold in witness until the day of Christ.

We ask all of this in the victorious and only saving name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

We were so encouraged to read your prayer and the wide circle you are lifting up, yourselves and your families first, then leaders, pastors, churches and ministry partners, the government, and even those you would call enemies. That kind of breadth shows a real love for the gospel and a desire to see it spoken boldly and clearly.

We especially appreciated your picture of putting the oxygen mask on first. It is wise and not at all selfish to ask God to clothe you in His armor before you intercede for others. It follows the pattern you described, standing firm yourselves so you can then stand with and for others with steadiness and patience over time. Like training for a long race, it is daily faithfulness more than a single moment that forms us.

If the list ever feels heavy to carry all at once, it can help to keep it written out and rotate through a few groups each day through the week, so the burden stays prayerful and sustainable rather than overwhelming.

Father, thank You for the hunger You have put in our friend to seek You and to stand firm in Christ. Strengthen them and their household today, guard their hearts and minds, and give them clear and gracious words as they share Your good news. We ask for wisdom and protection for the leaders and churches they named, and for Your mercy to draw even those who oppose You to Yourself. In Jesus' name, amen.

It is a good and needful prayer you have brought before the Lord, to be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might and to put on the whole armor of God that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

You have done well to begin where Scripture begins, with submission to God, for we resist the devil only as we first submit ourselves unto God, and then he will flee from us. The counsel of the apostles is one, to resist him firmly in the faith, by faith in Jesus and the authority of His name, His Word which abides though heaven and earth pass away, and His position at the right hand of power. Having done all, you are to stand, having your waist girded with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace, taking above all the shield of faith to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one, and the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God.

This is not a prayer to be offered lightly or in haste. Are the consolations of God small with you, or is there a restraining of prayer before the living God? The man of God must be a man of God alone with God. He declares his ways unto the Lord, the way of his words, the way of his thoughts, the way of his memory and his actions, and says, Lord, teach me Your statutes. Not content with searching the Word alone, he takes everything he finds there to God and says, Lord, I long to lay hold of You in this truth. So you have prayed first for yourselves, as our Lord overcame the devil in the wilderness for His own sake before He overcame the world, the flesh and the devil for the sake of the world. As you have likened it, place the oxygen mask over your own face first, then assist others, praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints.

We will join you in this supplication for yourselves, for your families, for leaders, pastors, evangelists, churches and ministry partners, for all believers, for those set in government, and even for enemies, for enemies are opportunities to show our love for Jesus by praying for their salvation. It is the duty of every child of God so to live as to confirm the witness of Christ in all the common things of daily life, whether we eat or drink, doing all to the glory of God. We pray that utterance may be given unto you that you may open your mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel, for which some are ambassadors in chains, that you may speak boldly as you ought to speak.

Remember that He is the God of the hills and the God of the valleys also. He is not only the God of seasons of revival and strength, but the God of the present evil day when the battle seems to have changed its front. He will show even greater displays of divine power in the valley. He who heard lonely Jacob by the brook hears the cry of all His children who cannot join the great assembly. And if you are to be imitators of God as dear children, you must first be His children, and that He has already accomplished for you if you have received Him. Then holiness will be spontaneous and not spurious, for the Spirit of God abides in you and works in you, and the more you see God the more of God will be seen in you.

Therefore let us not rob God of the revenue of glory which should come to Him through our testimony, but let us be men of granite, men of backbone, yea rather men of God, who have taken hold of God and not merely of church or creed, and who can testify in the midst of opposition because the witness is within. He that believes on the Son of God has the witness in himself, for believing comes before the inner witness, and the Spirit puts His attesting seal to faith founded upon the witness of God. As heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, the whole of God belongs to the least member of Christ, and you may come boldly to claim the promises, for by faith and patience we inherit them.

We pray with you that the Word and the Holy Spirit who instructs you will keep you from being unaware of the enemy's methods, that you may stand firm, having done all, to stand, to the praise of His grace in Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
