Armor of God Eph 6:10-20, Ourselves, Our Families, Leaders, Pastors, Evangelists, Churches, Ministry Partners, All Believers; Even Government, EVEN "ENEMIES" (Enemies are Opportunities to Show our LOVE for Jesus by praying for their salvation, 2 Tim 2:25-26) -- Utterance to Proclaim Mystery of Gospel Boldly, Eph 6:18-19... Father, thank You for The Word and Holy Spirit that instruct us, 2 Tim 3:15-17, John 14:26, so we may not be unaware of the enemy's methods, 2 Cor 2:11. We do submit to You as the church Jesus said the gates of hell cannot stand against, Matt 16:18, and resist the devil, James 4:7, resist him firmly in the faith, 1 Pet 5:8, (Faith in Jesus AND the Authority of His Name, John 14:13-14, Mk 16:15-17, His Word, Matt 24:35, Lk 21:33, and His Position, Matt 28:18, Phil 2:9), so he will flee from us, James 4:7.

We do take the same advice as the other two Apostles, resist AND take up Your Armor and stand against, stand, stand firm against the schemes of darkness, by faith and patience we inherit the promises, Heb 6:12. We pray it over ourselves first, in submission to Your Word, even as it was the proper example and pattern of Christ, overcoming the devil first on for His own sake in the wilderness, Mt 4:1-11, Mk 1:12-13, Lk 4:1-13, then overcoming the world, flesh and devil for the sake of the world, John 16:33.

Knowing it's proper in airplane trips to be admonished to first place the oxygen mask over our own faces prior to assisting others, we pray the following Armor, Your Armor, The Armor of God, on ourselves, Eph 6:10-17, then for others, Eph 6:18-20, applied by faith, as we receive everything else in the same manner, from salvation, Eph 2:8-9, to answered prayer, Mark 11:24, Heb 11:6, James 1:6...

“Finally, brothers and sisters, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the Whole Armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the Whole Armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with Truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the Gospel of Peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of The Spirit, which is the Word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in The Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints— and for the church, that utterance may be given to Your people, that they may open their mouths boldly to make known the mystery of the Gospel, for which some are ambassadors in chains; that all may speak boldly, as is fitting to speak," Eph‬ ‭6:11-20‬, thank You in Jesus' Name, Heb 11:6.

We join you wholeheartedly in this prayer for the whole armor of God and we say amen to your desire to pray it first over ourselves and then over our families, leaders, pastors, evangelists, churches, ministry partners, all believers, even government and even our enemies.

We love how you have reminded us that our struggle is not against flesh and blood but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, and against spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places as it says in Eph 6:12, and that we are not to be ignorant of the devil's schemes as it says in 2 Cor 2:11. We agree that we must submit ourselves to God and resist the devil and he will flee from us as it says in James 4:7, and that we are to be sober and self-controlled and resist him steadfast in the faith as it says in 1 Pet 5:8-9.

Your example of first putting the oxygen mask on ourselves is wise and biblical. Even our Lord Jesus when He was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil overcame for Himself first as shown in Matt 4:1-11, Mark 1:12-13 and Luke 4:1-13, and then He could say take courage, I have overcome the world as in John 16:33. By faith and patience we inherit the promises as in Heb 6:12, and we receive everything from salvation by grace through faith as in Eph 2:8-9 to answered prayer when we believe that we receive as in Mark 11:24.

We also affirm your heart to pray for enemies not with hatred but with love, seeking their salvation and repentance. The Lord calls us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us as in Matt 5:44, and in gentleness to correct those who oppose us, if perhaps God may give them repentance leading to a full knowledge of the truth and they may recover themselves out of the devil's snare as in 2 Tim 2:25-26. We are also commanded to pray for all people, for kings and all who are in high places, that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence as in 1 Tim 2:1-2. This is good and pleases God our Savior who desires all people to be saved.

So together we pray in Jesus' name, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father as in John 14:6 and there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved as in Acts 4:12.

Father, we thank You for Your Word and for Your Holy Spirit who teaches us all things and brings to our remembrance all that Jesus said as in John 14:26, and for Your Word which is inspired by You and profitable for teaching and equipping us as in 2 Tim 3:16-17. We thank You that Jesus is Lord and that all authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Him as in Matt 28:18, and that You have highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name as in Phil 2:9, and that whatever we ask in His name You will do as in John 14:13-14.

We put on Your whole armor by faith today. We gird our waist with truth, we put on the breastplate of righteousness which is Christ's righteousness given to us, we shod our feet with the preparation of the Good News of peace, we take up the shield of faith with which we will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one, we take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit which is Your Word. We pray that You will strengthen us in the Lord and in the strength of Your might as in Eph 6:10, that we may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil as in Eph 6:11, and having done all to stand as in Eph 6:13.

We now lift up our families, our leaders, our pastors and evangelists, our churches and ministry partners and all the saints. We pray always with all prayer and petition in the Spirit and being watchful to this end with all perseverance and petition for all the saints as in Eph 6:18. We ask that utterance may be given to us and to all Your people that we may open our mouths boldly to make known the mystery of the Good News as in Eph 6:19, for which we are ambassadors, that we may speak boldly as we ought to speak as in Eph 6:20. Let Your church be built and may the gates of Hades not prevail against it as in Matt 16:18.

We pray this also for those in government and for those who consider themselves our enemies, that You would draw them to repentance and salvation through Jesus Christ. Let Your Word not return void. We trust You to answer because without faith it is impossible to be well pleasing to You, for we must believe that You exist and that You reward those who seek You as in Heb 11:6. We ask all this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ our Lord, amen.

We were so encouraged to read your prayer. Your heart to cover not only your own family but leaders, pastors, churches, ministry partners, government and even those who oppose the gospel really stood out to us. That kind of wide, faithful intercession matters.

We love that you began with putting on the armor yourselves first. It is easy to rush to pray for everyone else and run empty, but standing firm ourselves first allows us to keep praying with perseverance for others over the long haul. Spiritual growth is more like training than a single moment, steady daily dependence that forms us over time.

If it helps to keep this broad burden sustainable, you might try walking through one or two of those groups each day rather than carrying all of them at once, letting the Lord bring specific names to mind as you pray for boldness and protection.

Father, thank You for this brother or sister who wants to stand firm and lift others up. Strengthen them and their family today, guard their hearts and minds, and give them clear utterance as they share Your good news. We lift up pastors, churches, ministry partners and leaders to You, and we ask You to work in the hearts of those who oppose You that they might come to know Jesus. Keep all Your people watchful and persevering in prayer. In Jesus' name, amen.

There is much cause for thankfulness in the prayer you have poured out, for you have gone to the soul and center of things and laid hold upon the Truth of God as He has revealed it in His Word. You have rightly understood that we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, and that our strength must therefore be not our own, but in the Lord and in the power of His might.

You do well to first put on that armor yourselves, as our Lord Himself overcame the tempter in the wilderness before He went forth to overcome for others. The Christian makes much of God in secret, and God makes much of him in public. He declares his ways unto the Lord, his thoughts, his imaginations, his memory, his actions, and the Lord hears him and teaches him His statutes. It is not enough to search the Word alone, you must take everything you find there to God and say, Lord, I long to lay hold of You in this Truth. He who has thus taken hold of God, not of the church merely, nor of the minister, nor of a formal creed, is the man who can stand firm when the fiery darts fly thick. Opposition and persecution cannot shake him, for he is a man of granite, a man of backbone, a man of God.

So stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness which is Christ's own righteousness imputed and imparted, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace. Take up above all the shield of faith, whereby you shall quench every dart of the wicked one, and the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God. You rightly remember that the Word abides when heaven and earth shall pass away, and that the name of Jesus and His position at the right hand of power are our authority.

Be comforted also that He is the God of the valleys as well as the God of the hills. When the battle seems to change its front, and when you feel weak in the presence of temptation or restrained in prayer, He is still the same. He who was the God of Augustine and Luther and Whitfield is your God still, for He changes not. He created peace at the first, He restores peace through the blood of His Son, and He will perfect and consummate peace at the last. He is the God of peace who will be with you.

Continue therefore with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful with all perseverance for all saints, for your families, for pastors and evangelists and churches, for ministry partners and all believers, and even for those who set themselves against you. It is Christlike to pray for enemies, that God would grant them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth, that they may be saved. Pray also for utterance, that you may open your mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel, for which we are ambassadors.

May the Lord hear you as you declare your ways to Him, clothe you daily with His armor, keep you from the wiles of the devil, and make you imitators of God as dear children, holy because you are His, and filled with the Spirit of holiness. May He grant you to see more of Christ, that more of Christ may be seen in you, to the praise of His grace.

Your prayer to be clothed in the whole armor of God is faithful and right, and we join our voices with yours before the Lord.

You have understood well what this warfare is. It is not against flesh and blood, not against men, but against devils and spiritual powers of wickedness. Therefore the armor that God gives is fitting for such a battle. It is not made of hides and steel, but of truth and righteousness and faith and a true love of wisdom. When you gird your waist with truth, put on the breastplate of righteousness, shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace, take up the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God, you are equipped as God intends for you to stand.

We pray this with you first for yourselves, as you have asked, and then for your families, for pastors and evangelists, for churches and ministry partners, for all believers, for those in government, and even for those you call enemies. It is good that you remember that enemies are opportunities to show love for Jesus by praying for their salvation, that God may grant them repentance leading to the knowledge of the truth. Remember that faith is your shield. It must cover the whole frame, not be scanty and leave some part exposed. It protects you when you hold fast to hope in the good things to come and trust simply that God is and that He rewards those who seek Him. Do not let quibbles and endless reasonings make the shield small. Let it be large enough to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one.

Do not think this armor is grievous to wear. To put on the armor of light is not a heavy burden. It is to lay aside filthy garments and to live in truth, to loose the bonds of iniquity, to live at peace and to be of one mind, so that the God of love and peace will be with you. And as you have been given ability, whether in protection or in teaching or in giving or in prayer, use what you have for the common good and for your neighbor's advantage. Even one talent faithfully used is pleasing to God.

So we pray: Father, strengthen these your servants in the Lord and in the power of Your might. Clothe them and those they love in truth, righteousness, peace, faith, salvation, and Your Word. Keep them watchful and persevering in prayer in the Spirit for all the saints. Grant boldness to speak Your gospel, grant salvation to those who oppose it, and grant wisdom to leaders. Help them to stand firm in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, who alone is our salvation and our victory. Amen.
