Disciple of Prayer
Please pray for me for protection of the enemy. Will have no power over me. I love just doing a great many things in my life. I’ve seen them at work and I see him deliver me from a lot, but they’re still working through a lot. I struggle with alcohol and bad decision-making regret, and blamed for the loss of a loved one that affects my behavior and drives me away away from God I see it’s the enemy. I understand it’s the enemy, but the closer I get to God the more heavier I feel the attacks are if anyone can pray for me, I would really appreciate that because I know more stronger together in the name of Jesus amen.

We hear your cry for spiritual armor and protection, and we stand with you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but we declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). You are not alone in this battle, we lift you up before the throne of grace, where our Lord hears the prayers of His children and fights on their behalf.

First, we must address the stronghold of alcohol in your life. Scripture is clear: "Do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit" (Ephesians 5:18 WEB). The enemy uses addiction to cloud your mind, weaken your resolve, and pull you away from God’s presence. But Jesus came to set the captives free (Luke 4:18), and His power is greater than any chain. We rebuke the spirit of addiction in your life and command it to loose its grip in Jesus’ name. Confess this struggle to the Lord, seek accountability from godly believers, and take practical steps, such as removing temptation from your environment, to walk in freedom.

Your regret and self-blame over the loss of your loved one are heavy burdens, but they are not yours to carry alone. The enemy twists grief into guilt, whispering lies that you are unworthy of God’s love or forgiveness. But the truth is this: "There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus" (Romans 8:1 WEB). Jesus bore your shame on the cross, and He invites you to cast your cares upon Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). The enemy may use this pain to drive you away from God, but we declare that this very wound will draw you closer to His heart. The Lord collects your tears in a bottle (Psalm 56:8) and longs to heal your broken heart.

You are right to recognize that the closer you draw to God, the fiercer the attacks may become. The enemy does not relent when we press into the Lord, he rages because he knows his time is short (Revelation 12:12). But take heart: "Greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world" (1 John 4:4 WEB). The armor of God is your protection, truth, righteousness, peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God (Ephesians 6:10-18). We pray that you would stand firm in this armor, wielding the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God, against every lie and accusation of the enemy.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, the Name above all names. We lift up our brother/sister to You, asking for Your divine protection to surround him/her like a shield. Lord, we rebuke every assignment of the enemy against his/her life, every lie, every addiction, every spirit of guilt and shame. We declare that no weapon formed against him/her shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against him/her in judgment, You will condemn (Isaiah 54:17).

Father, we ask for Your healing touch to mend the wounds of grief and regret. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard his/her heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Break the chains of alcohol and every ungodly habit, and fill him/her with Your Holy Spirit. Renew his/her mind with Your truth, that he/she may no longer be conformed to the patterns of this world but transformed by the renewing of the mind (Romans 12:2).

Lord, we pray for Your presence to be a fortress around him/her. When the enemy comes in like a flood, let the Spirit of the Lord lift up a standard against him (Isaiah 59:19). Strengthen his/her faith to resist the devil, knowing that he will flee (James 4:7). Surround him/her with godly believers who will stand with him/her in prayer and accountability. Let him/her experience the fullness of Your love, which casts out all fear (1 John 4:18).

We thank You, Lord, that You are faithful to complete the good work You have begun in him/her (Philippians 1:6). We declare victory over every attack of the enemy, for the battle belongs to You (2 Chronicles 20:15). May he/she walk in the freedom and purpose You have ordained, bringing glory to Your name. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to immerse yourself in God’s Word daily, for it is a lamp to your feet and a light to your path (Psalm 119:105). Surround yourself with a community of believers who can pray with you, encourage you, and hold you accountable. The enemy may attack, but he cannot prevail when you are rooted in Christ. You are not defined by your past or your struggles, you are defined by the love of God, who calls you His own.

If you have not already, consider confessing your sins to the Lord and receiving His forgiveness. "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9 WEB). There is no sin too great for His grace. The blood of Jesus cleanses us from all unrighteousness, and in Him, you are made new (2 Corinthians 5:17).

Stand firm, dear one. The battle is real, but the victory is already won. Keep pressing into God, and He will lift you up in due time (1 Peter 5:6). You are not fighting alone, we stand with you, and more importantly, the Lord of Hosts fights for you.

We hear the weight in your words, and we are standing with you. You’ve already named something true: the closer you press toward God, the fiercer the attacks feel. That doesn’t mean you’re losing; it means the enemy sees a real threat. Many who have walked this path have found the same, the battle intensifies right before a breakthrough. So we don’t want you to be discouraged by the heaviness; let it remind you that you’re on the right road.

The regret, the blame others have placed on you, even the pull toward alcohol, none of that needs to define who you are becoming. We know that shame and accusation can feel like a thick fog, but God isn’t standing at a distance waiting to condemn you. He’s right there, and he wants to bring you step by step into real freedom, not just white-knuckled effort.

One practical thing that can help is not fighting this alone. When the enemy whispers that you’re isolated or beyond help, he’s lying. A trusted brother or sister in Christ, maybe someone from a recovery group like Celebrate Recovery, or a mature friend who won’t be shocked, can pray with you, be a steady presence, and remind you of the truth when your own feelings shout too loud. Even a simple phone call when the pull feels strong can break the cycle.

We ask our Father to surround you with his strong protection right now. Quiet the accusations, calm the restlessness, and break the chains of alcohol and regret. Let every lie that says you are too far gone be silenced. Give you courage to take one concrete step toward connection and healing this week. In the strong name of Jesus.

The heavier the attack, the nearer the victory. When a soul presses close to Christ, the adversary rages because his prey is slipping from his grasp; he who has no enemy has no friend, for intense foes are the sure attendants of earnest faith. Your confession that you see these works of the enemy and yet the Lord delivers you is evidence of grace already at work. Do not mistake the smoke of battle for the fire of defeat.

The blood of Jesus Christ, His Son, cleanses us from all sin, that promise stands immovable while you cast yourself wholly upon it. Your struggle with strong drink, your regret over past decisions, and the gnawing burden of blame for your loved one, these are the very chains the Spirit would break, for when guilt is lifted, guile goes with it. Do not hide from the Lord with a deceitful heart; faithful are the wounds of a friend, but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful. The enemy whispers that you dare not draw near to God because you have sinned against early goodness, yet Manasseh’s crimson crimes were swallowed up in mercy, and so shall yours be if you confess and forsake them.

Look to Him that was pierced, and you shall live; there is only one look needed. Let your regret be of that godly sort which drives you to the cross and not that hollow wishing which leaves you wallowing where you were. The enemy would use your sorrow to build an impassable barrier, but Christ has already cast down every wall. Resist him steadfast in this dark hour, and the arch-fiend himself shall flee confounded, for if you conquer him in the depths of grief, you conquer indeed.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You see clearly that this war is not against men, but against devils and incorporeal powers. The enemy presses harder as you draw nearer to God, but this should not breed cowardice in you. It is given to shake off indolence, for the time is short. Stand firm in the evil day. Put on the whole armor of God. The armor of these warriors is not formed of hides and steel, but of truth and righteousness, and faith, and all true love of wisdom. Be prepared as a valiant soldier, continually in your armor, sober, watchful, ever looking for the enemy. Let the trumpet of godliness call you to break the phalanx of the adversaries and bruise the face of the devil.

Do not let grief over a loved one or the sting of regret drive you from God. The heaviest sorrow bears witness to a resurrection, wherein that which is dead can be born again. The carnal mind is enmity against God, for it is not subject to His law. But you can change and become good. Cleanse yourself from all defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. The struggle with alcohol and bad decisions is the assault of the enemy, yet you are not helpless. Stand as a temple of the living God, for He walks among His people.

Together in prayer we entreat for mercy, for those who are lowly and simple in heart are able to deliver the guilty by their petitions. The innocent children of the church cry out on your behalf. Do not make peace with the accusations that condemn you, for the enemy seeks to pass a sentence of death upon your soul through shame and blame. But you are not his. Let the prayers of the faithful lift you, and go forth with great eagerness into the contest. The Lord sees your desire to be delivered, and His strength is perfected in your weakness.
