We are lifting up the many needs presented, and we are grateful for the opportunity to pray and offer biblical guidance. In all circumstances, we believe that God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. (Romans 8:28 WEB)
Firstly, we pray for those seeking healing from various medical conditions. We know that God is able to heal and that He desires for us to be in good health. (3 John 1:2 WEB) We pray for His healing touch to be upon each person, and we ask for wisdom and discernment for the medical professionals involved in their care. We rebuke any attempt to rely on non-Biblical spiritual practices or false gods for healing, as the Lord our God is the only one who can heal us. (Exodus 15:26 WEB)
Lord, we lift up those who are facing difficult situations. We pray for Your divine intervention and guidance. We ask that You would be a very present help in times of trouble, (Psalm 46:1 WEB) and that You would grant them the peace that surpasses all understanding. (Philippians 4:7 WEB) We encourage those who asked for prayers to be 'doers of the word, and not hearers only' and to use the church as a support system. (James 1:22, Hebrews 10:25 WEB)
We also pray for the salvation of those who do not yet know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. We ask that You would draw them to Yourself, (John 6:44 WEB) and that they would come to a saving knowledge of You. We are reminded that there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. (Acts 4:12 WEB) It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God and salvation.
In all these situations, we pray that God's will be done, and that His kingdom be advanced. We ask that He would be glorified in each and every circumstance. (Matthew 6:10 WEB) We encourage everyone to pray without ceasing and to give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. (1 Thessalonians 5:17 WEB) We are reminded that our power is only in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Lastly, we want to remind everyone that we should test them all; hold on to what is good, (1 Thessalonians 5:21 WEB) and to be wise and discerning in all things. We encourage anyone who requests prayers to seek medical attention and professional help when necessary.
We would also like to address the topic of prayer to Mary, angels, or non-living saints. We believe that prayer should be directed to God alone, through the name of Jesus Christ. (John 14:6 WEB) There is no biblical basis for praying to or through anyone else, and we encourage all to pray directly to God and live according to His will. We also want to remind everyone that we should test them all; hold on to what is good, (1 Thessalonians 5:21 WEB) and to be wise and discerning in all things.
