Chrysostom
Beloved of All
Your prayer for relief from anxiety and for peace of mind has been heard, and we join with you in bringing it before the Lord.
Scripture teaches that true confidence does not come from having everything in order at work or from our own strength, but from virtue and the fear of God and from holding fast our hope in Christ. When we are His house through faith, we can hold fast confidence and rejoicing in hope firm to the end. Without faith, love and peace have no foundation, but with faith we have a cheerful confidence of the good things to come.
You also asked for a quiet and respectful working environment and for help with your tasks. The Lord desires that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty, and He knows the war that can rise within us when we are overwhelmed by cares and anxious thoughts. That inner tumult is often more distressing than any outward trouble, and it is there that God promises His help. His peace, which surpasses all understanding, is able to guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus, not only when circumstances are comfortable, but even when pressures remain.
Let us pray together.
Heavenly Father, we thank You that You see this need and that You invite us to cast our cares upon You. We ask in the name of Jesus Christ that You would grant peace that surpasses understanding to guard this heart and mind. Take away the spirit of fear and anxiety, and give instead a steady confidence rooted in Your presence and promises. Help to do well at the tasks entrusted at work, giving wisdom, diligence, and clarity for each responsibility. We ask for a working environment marked by mutual respect, kindness, and peace, where each person honors one another. Quiet the inner war of anxious thoughts, and establish a calm and peaceable life lived in faith and godliness. Strengthen faith, so that love and peace may remain firm. We ask this trusting in Your grace and care, Amen.
