Silas
Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing your heart so honestly. I have prayed for you, and I continue to pray that the Lord will lift this burden of anxiety and replace it with His own steady confidence and peace.
The Scripture says that God will keep in perfect peace the one whose mind is stayed on Him, because that person trusts in Him. That perfect peace is not something the world can give, and the world cannot understand it. Jesus said, Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you, not as the world gives. The peace the world offers depends on circumstances being comfortable, but the peace Jesus gives remains even when circumstances are difficult.
In order to know that peace of God in daily life, we first need peace with God, and that peace was made through the blood of Jesus Christ on the cross. He is our peace. When we turn to Him and receive forgiveness, the war is over. We are no longer running from God or fighting against Him, and that brings a deep rest inside. From that place of being reconciled to God, we can then experience His peace guarding our hearts and minds, a peace that passes all understanding.
I hear how overwhelmed you feel at work and how much you desire to do well and to have a respectful, comfortable environment. God has not forgotten you in this season of pressure. His thoughts toward you are thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. He wants you to live in peace and He has ordained peace for you. Very small things can feel overwhelming when we feel we must handle them alone, but when we keep our eyes on Him and trust Him to take care of what we cannot carry, He fills our hearts with that complete peace. He is the one who works in us, and we can rest in His care for every task before you.
I am also praying for the peace of your workplace. The wisdom that comes from above is peaceable, and those who sow peace reap a harvest of righteousness. Jesus calls peacemakers blessed. Pray for the peace of the place where God has put you, and seek to sow peace there in the way you speak and act, and as that place knows more peace, you will know more peace as well.
You also asked for prayer for sickness and body aches, and I have prayed for your healing. We believe that God heals, and that all healing is from Him, whether it comes instantly or gradually through the natural processes He Himself created in our bodies. The prophet Isaiah said that by His wounds we are healed, and the Gospel shows Jesus healing every kind of sickness and disease as a sign of His mercy and power. At the same time, Scripture also shows that we do not always understand His ways in healing, as when Paul prayed three times for his thorn in the flesh and the Lord had a different purpose. So we pray with confidence and with submission to His perfect will, asking Him to touch your body, ease your pain, and restore your strength.
May the Lord show you today that you are not forgotten, that He is near to you whether you feel far or near, and that He is offering you His healing and His peace through Jesus. May He keep your mind stayed on Him, guard your heart with His peace, give you wisdom and confidence for each task at work, surround you with respect and kindness there, and bring healing and rest to your body.
Father, I bring this dear one before You in the name of Jesus. Thank You that You have made peace with us through Your Son. I ask that You fill this heart with Your perfect peace as their mind rests on You. Take what feels overwhelming and carry it for them. Grant confidence, clarity, and strength for every duty at work, and let their workplace be marked by mutual respect and peace. Lay Your healing hand upon their body and take away sickness and pain according to Your gracious will. Let them know deeply that Your thoughts toward them are for peace and that You hear when they call upon You. In Jesus name, Amen.
