anxiety

Thank you for sharing honestly about the severe anxiety and the chest pain you are carrying. I am praying for you, and I want you to know that your struggle is seen and taken seriously.

The pain you feel, both in your mind and in your body, is real. Scripture speaks of how we groan while we are in this body, longing for relief and for the wholeness God promises. Anxiety can make that groaning very physical, and chest pain is especially frightening. Please, if you have not already, let a doctor check this pain to care for your body wisely, even as we ask the Lord to care for your heart.

When fear rises it is easy to feel as if God has stepped away or is no longer in control. He has not. He is still on His throne, He has not forsaken His child, and He looks on your pain with deep compassion. Like a loving Father who sees the sorrow that is coming and longs to spare His children, He does not stand far off. He waits to help pick up the pieces, to comfort and to restore with grace.

Jesus Himself knows this kind of sorrow. He wept when He saw the pain and grief that sin and brokenness have brought into the world, and in that we see the heart of the Father toward us in our suffering. He is not distant from your anxiety. He already bore our pain and carried our sorrows, and His power is greater than the fear that grips you. When we feel we cannot manage or handle what is happening inside us, we are invited to rest on Him rather than trying to carry it alone.

To keep holding onto God when everything hurts and you do not understand why you are going through this is itself a deep act of faith. He honors that trust. Even when panic tries to spread through your thoughts, His desire is to steady you and give you His peace.

Let me pray for you.

Father, I lift up this dear one to You who knows this anxiety and this pain in the chest. You see the fear and the heaviness that will not let them sleep or rest. Lord, You have already borne our pain, and I ask that You would bring relief and healing now. Lay Your hand upon this body and calm this heart. Replace panic with Your peace that goes beyond understanding, guard heart and mind in Christ Jesus, and help them to cast every care on You because You care for them. Remind them moment by moment that You are near, that You have not left them, and that You are their strength when they feel weak. Give wisdom to any who provide care, and draw this heart into deeper rest in Your love. In the name of Jesus, amen.

You are not alone in this. Keep bringing every anxious thought to Him in prayer, and keep letting others walk with you and support you. May the Lord show you His nearness and give you rest.
