anxiety

Thank you for sharing this honestly. Anxiety can feel overwhelming and isolating, but God sees your heart and He cares deeply about what you are carrying. You are not forgotten and you are not alone in this.

Scripture speaks directly to this struggle. We are told not to be anxious about anything, but in every situation to bring our requests to God through prayer and supplication with thanksgiving. Worry itself does not solve anything, but prayer does. It moves our burden from our own shoulders into the hands of the Lord who is able to carry it. Rather than rehearsing the worry over and over, we can turn it into prayer and commit it to Him.

In order to know that kind of steady inner peace, we first need peace with God, and that only comes through Jesus Christ and His sacrifice for us. He made peace through His blood, so that we are no longer at war with God or running from Him. When we belong to Him, we can then come to know the peace of God itself in daily life, the peace that goes beyond human understanding and guards our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Others may not understand how you can be calm in difficult circumstances, but that peace is real because it comes from Him, not from our situation.

One promise says that God will keep in perfect peace the person whose mind is stayed on Him, because that person trusts in Him. Jesus said to His disciples, Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you, not as the world gives. The peace the world offers is fragile and depends on everything going well. His peace is different. It remains even when life is chaotic and uncertain, as we keep our thoughts turned toward Him and trust that He will take care of what concerns us.

If you find your mind circling with what ifs and replaying conversations or fears, gently turn your attention back to the Lord. Tell Him plainly what you are feeling, thank Him for His care and promises, and ask Him to keep your mind stayed on Him. As you do this again and again, His peace begins to fill your heart and steady you.

I am praying for you now. Father, I lift up this dear one who is battling anxiety. Thank You that You know every thought and every fear. Thank You that through Jesus we have peace with You, and that You offer Your own peace to guard our hearts and minds. I ask that You would quiet the anxious thoughts and help this heart to rest in Your love and care. Teach how to bring every worry to You with thanksgiving and to keep the mind stayed on You. Fill this life with Your perfect and complete peace as trust is placed in You. In the name of Jesus, Amen.

Keep bringing your cares to Him honestly each day. He is near, He hears, and He is faithful to keep you in His peace as you trust Him.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf concerning the anxiety you shared with us. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer and we have continued to lift you before the Lord asking Him to calm your heart and mind and to replace worry with His perfect peace.

We pray in Jesus Name that the Lord will draw near to you and guard your heart, for we know He cares for you and invites you to cast all your anxiety on Him as it says in 1 Peter 5:7 and that His peace which surpasses all understanding will guard your heart and mind as promised in Philippians 4:7.

If your request was answered and you have experienced His peace and relief from anxiety, please post a praise report and let us all know what the Lord has done. If your request does not seem to have been answered and you are still struggling, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ.
