anxiety

We hear your cry for help in the midst of anxiety, and we stand with you before the throne of grace, where we find mercy and help in our time of need. The Word of God tells us, "Don’t be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:6-7 WEB). Anxiety is a heavy burden, but we serve a God who invites us to cast all our cares upon Him because He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7).

Let us pray together now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this dear one who is struggling with anxiety. Lord, You know the depths of their heart and the weight they carry. We ask that You would calm their spirit and fill them with Your perfect peace. Remind them that You have not given them a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Help them to trust in You with all their heart and lean not on their own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6). Surround them with Your presence, Lord, and let them feel Your love and comfort in this time.

We also pray for wisdom and discernment. Show them if there are areas in their life where they may be carrying burdens You never intended for them to bear. Help them to surrender every worry, every fear, and every anxious thought to You. Teach them to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5) and to replace lies with Your truth. Your Word says that You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast because they trust in You (Isaiah 26:3). Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to rest in Your promises.

We rebuke the spirit of anxiety in the name of Jesus. We declare that it has no place in their life, for they are a child of the Most High God, and greater is He who is in them than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). We speak peace over their mind, body, and soul. We ask that You would fill them with Your Holy Spirit and remind them of Your faithfulness. Help them to recall the times You have delivered them in the past and to trust that You will do it again.

Father, we also ask that You would provide them with godly community, believers who can come alongside them, pray with them, and encourage them in their walk with You. Let them not isolate themselves but find strength in the body of Christ. Guide them to scriptures that will uplift and sustain them, and help them to meditate on Your Word day and night (Joshua 1:8).

We thank You, Lord, for Your unfailing love and for the victory we have in Jesus Christ. We declare that this anxiety will not have the final say, but that Your peace, which transcends all understanding, will guard their heart and mind. We trust in You, our Rock and our Redeemer. In the precious name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Now, dear one, we encourage you to hold fast to the truth of God’s Word. Anxiety may whisper lies, but God’s Word speaks life. Memorize scriptures that bring you comfort, and speak them aloud when fear tries to creep in. Spend time in prayer and worship, for the enemy flees when we draw near to God (James 4:7-8). You are not alone in this battle. The Lord is your strength, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6).

If your anxiety feels overwhelming, we also encourage you to seek godly counsel, whether through your pastor, a trusted Christian counselor, or a mature believer in your church. Sometimes, the Lord uses the wisdom and support of others to bring healing and breakthrough. Do not hesitate to reach out, for we are called to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2).

Lastly, examine your heart and life to ensure there is no unconfessed sin or area where you may be harboring bitterness, unforgiveness, or fear. Sin can open the door to anxiety and other spiritual attacks. If there is anything separating you from God, confess it and repent, for He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). Walk in the freedom that Christ has purchased for you on the cross.

You are deeply loved by the Father, and He has a purpose and plan for your life. Do not let anxiety steal your joy or your peace. Fix your eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2), and trust that He will lead you through this season. We are standing with you in prayer, believing God for your breakthrough.

We are glad you reached out and let us know you are carrying anxiety. We are praying for you right now.

Anxiety can be so heavy because it often touches every part of a person at once, racing thoughts, tension, trouble sleeping, a pounding heart or unsettled stomach. It does not mean you have failed or lack faith. It is a very human experience under strain, and many people know what it is like to feel wound up and on edge. You are not alone in this, even when it feels isolating.

It can help not to carry it by yourself. If you have one trusted person, a family member, friend or pastor, consider letting them know how you have been feeling this week so they can check in and walk with you. And if the anxiety feels persistent, overwhelming, or is making daily life hard, we gently encourage you to reach out to your primary care doctor or a trusted counselor alongside prayer. They can listen well and help you think through supportive next steps.

Father, we bring our friend before you in Jesus name. You see what they are carrying and you care for them deeply. We ask for your nearness and peace to surround them, for wisdom in each next step, and for caring people to come alongside them. Give them rest, steady them when worry rises, and lead them toward help and hope. In Jesus name, amen.

Your cry under the weight of anxiety has been heard and carried to the throne of grace, and we have prayed for you that the Lord Himself would speak peace to your troubled heart.

There is a word of promise that meets your case, "You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You." This is not a distant hope but a present possession to be enjoyed even in the ordinary circumstances of life. The blood of Jesus whispers peace within, and that whisper can be heard even when sorrows are surging round and duties press hard upon you. Perfect peace does not mean that the dark world of sin and care has passed away, but that within, kept by Him, there is a calm which the world cannot give and cannot take away. When the mind is stayed upon Christ, stayed upon His finished work, His unchanging heart and His power to keep, He keeps that soul in peace, peace.

Our Saviour said, Fear not, and He repeats it as one who has authority to make good His word. Fear not, thou worm Jacob, I will help thee, saith the Lord. Fear not, for I am with thee, be not dismayed, for I am thy God. It is not the preacher who merely cries Fear not, but Jesus Himself who whispers to His poor servant fallen as if dead at His feet, Fear not. To give way to anxiety is to be unfitted to meet the very difficulty that troubles you, for the mind is the main thing, it will bring you daylight or midnight, peace or war. Fear is weakening and it dishonours God, as if the arm which piled the heavens and sustains the pillars of the earth could ever be palsied. Therefore labour to get rid of fear by trusting the promised strength. Be prudent in temporal affairs, but do not be so affected by external things as to get into a state of worry and distress. Tell your trouble to your God, for if anxiety is confined to yourself no good will come of it, but cast all your care upon Him, for He careth for you.

May the Lord now grant you that holy deliverance. We have prayed thus for you, that you may look into your Saviour's breast and find there nothing but mercy written, that you may bear your sorrow with Him and find on His bosom nothing but calm, that your mind being stayed upon Him you may prove His keeping power, and that perfect love may cast out fear. May the God of all peace, who is the author of peace through the blood of His Son, give you peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, and then peace in the conscience as the publication of it, that Christ's own peace, unruffled and profound, may rule in your heart. May He keep you day and night, and keep your loved ones also in His safe keeping, till He brings you through all anxiety into His perfect rest, for Christ's sake alone, in whom alone is salvation. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your request for prayer about anxiety has been heard and taken to heart before the Lord.

Anxiety is a heavy burden and it can wear down both soul and body, stealing peace and clouding the mind. Scripture teaches us that God does not desire for you to carry this weight alone. He invites you to cast all your cares upon Him because He cares for you, and to bring everything to Him in prayer with thanksgiving, so that His peace which passes all understanding will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus.

I pray for you now that God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ will grant you that grace and peace. May He calm your troubled thoughts, quiet your fears, and remind you that you are held in His hands. May He free you from restless anxiety and fill you with confidence in His goodness and His promises, teaching you to trust not in your own strength but in His faithful care day by day.

Do not be discouraged if this struggle does not lift at once. Continue to seek Him in prayer, in His Word, and in fellowship with His people. Bring your worries to Him honestly and often, and ask Him to train your heart in trust and self control, choosing what is good and resting in His provision. Where anxiety urges you to look inward, look upward to Christ who bore your sins and who lives to intercede for you.

We will continue to pray for you, that the Lord will give you steady hope, sound rest, and a renewed mind, and that you will know more deeply His presence and His love in the midst of this trial.
