We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this burden of anxiety and overwhelm. The Word of God tells us in Philippians 4:6-7, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." We stand on this promise, believing that the Lord hears and answers when we call upon Him in faith.
Father, we ask that You would calm the storm within this precious one’s heart. Anxiety does not come from You, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We rebuke the spirit of fear and declare that it has no place here. Replace this anxiety with Your perfect peace, which transcends all human understanding. Let confidence rise up as they trust in You, knowing that You are their strength and their shield (Psalm 28:7).
We also lift up their work environment to You, Lord. You have called us to labor as unto You, not for the approval of men (Colossians 3:23). We pray for a workplace filled with respect, kindness, and unity, where burdens are shared and encouragement is abundant. May this one find favor in the eyes of their supervisors and coworkers, and may their efforts be fruitful and blessed. Grant them wisdom and clarity as they tackle their tasks, and let them experience the joy of Your presence even in the midst of their duties.
Lord, we ask that You would quiet their mind and still the racing thoughts that threaten to overwhelm. Remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Help them to cast all their cares upon You, for You care for them (1 Peter 5:7). Let them rest in the assurance that You are in control, and that Your plans for them are good—plans to prosper them and not to harm them, plans to give them hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11).
We declare that this one is not alone, for You are with them always, even to the end of the age (Matthew 28:20). Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to walk in the confidence that comes from knowing You. May they find their peace and security in You alone, and may their life reflect the hope that is found in Christ Jesus.
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
