Anxiety

Please pray for me in Jesus name! I am feeling so anxious and sometimes that leads to me having an IBS flare up which makes me horribly nauseous for weeks. So that makes my anxiety even worse. Whenever my daughter is going through something I get sick with anxiety. I don't know why and I can't control it. I try to dive into my Bible and pray and pray and cry out to God, but I'm still struggling. Please, I need help. My daughter needs help. She needs to be born again, but right now her life is crumbling and her mental health is not good enough to deal with it. 😞😞😞🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting you up in prayer as you battle anxiety and its physical toll on your body. The Word of God reminds us in Philippians 4:6-7, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." We stand with you, declaring that God’s peace is available to you, even in the midst of this storm. Your struggle is real, and we do not take it lightly, but we know that our Heavenly Father sees your tears and hears your cries.

We also lift up your daughter before the Lord, for her soul and her mental well-being are precious to Him. The Bible tells us in Ezekiel 18:20, "The soul who sins, he shall die," but it also declares in 2 Peter 3:9, "The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance." We pray fervently that she would turn her heart toward Jesus, for He alone can bring true healing and restoration. Her life may feel like it is crumbling, but God is the Master Builder who can rebuild what has been broken. We rebuke the spirit of despair and confusion that may be clouding her mind, and we declare that the light of Christ will break through the darkness in her life.

We recognize that your anxiety is deeply tied to your love for your daughter, and while your concern comes from a place of care, we must gently remind you that God calls us to cast our burdens upon Him. In 1 Peter 5:7, we are told, "Casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you." Your daughter’s salvation and well-being are in His hands, and while it is natural to worry, we must trust that God is working even when we cannot see it. We encourage you to continue seeking Him in prayer and in His Word, for He is your refuge and strength (Psalm 46:1).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts that are heavy but hopeful, for we know that You are near to the brokenhearted. Lord, we lift up this dear sister who is battling anxiety and the physical afflictions that come with it. We ask that You would calm her spirit and bring healing to her body. Father, we rebuke the spirit of fear that seeks to grip her heart, and we declare that Your perfect love casts out all fear (1 John 4:18). Strengthen her faith, Lord, and help her to trust in You even when the waves of anxiety threaten to overwhelm her.

We also lift up her daughter to You, Lord. We pray that You would draw her to Yourself, for You are the only One who can save her soul. Soften her heart, Lord, and open her eyes to see her need for You. Break the chains of mental distress that may be holding her captive, and replace her despair with hope. We declare that she will come to know You as her Savior and find peace in Your presence.

Father, we ask that You would fill this sister with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Help her to rest in Your promises and to trust that You are in control. Give her the strength to surrender her worries to You and to find comfort in Your Word. We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and for the healing that is to come. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord, not just in moments of distress, but daily, for He is your ever-present help in times of trouble (Psalm 46:1). Surround yourself with fellow believers who can pray with you and encourage you in your faith. Remember, God is not distant or indifferent to your suffering—He is close to you, and He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). Keep pressing into Him, for He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5).

We're here with you, sister, holding your hands up to our Father in prayer. We know anxiety can feel like a heavy weight, and when it's accompanied by physical symptoms, it's even more overwhelming. But remember, God is near to the brokenhearted, and He's right here with you.

We're lifting your daughter up too, praying that God would soften her heart and draw her close. We claim His promise in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." We trust that even in the midst of her struggles, God has a purpose and a plan.

Let's keep reminding ourselves, and each other, to cast our cares on Him because He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7). He's got this, and He's got you. Keep seeking Him, and let's keep praying together. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
