I am so scared I have made the biggest mistake of my life. Please calm my fear and anxiety and show me this is a good decision. Please provide the financial means to not be afraid and the expansion of our family and the financial means for my son to grow. Please calm me father. Please let everything happen seamlessly and perfectly. Please let me see my son grow and change as well. Please protect my daughter granddaughter and husband. Be with us guide us protect us. In Jesus name I pray. Amen

We hear the heaviness in your heart and we join with you in bringing this fear and anxiety before our Father together in Jesus' name. It is understandable to feel overwhelmed when facing a big decision and the responsibility for your family, and we thank you for calling upon the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and peace that passes understanding.

The Word reminds us not to carry this burden alone. We are told in Philippians 4:6-7, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. And again in 1 Peter 5:7, casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you. Our fear does not come from God, for God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control as we read in 2 Timothy 1:7. When we feel we may have made a mistake, we can trust that God is sovereign and able to guide and even redeem our decisions when we seek Him.

We also lift up your financial needs and your family before the Lord, trusting His promise to provide. We remember Matthew 6:33, But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. And Philippians 4:19, My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. He sees your son and your desire to see him grow, and your love for your daughter, your granddaughter and your husband. Children are a gift, for Psalm 127:3 tells us Behold, children are a heritage of Yahweh. And we cling to Psalm 46:1, God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble, and Isaiah 41:10, Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.

We pray together with you now.

Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus and we lift up this dear one to You. Lord, You see the fear and anxiety that is gripping her heart, the worry that she has made the biggest mistake of her life. We ask You to calm her spirit now with Your perfect peace. Quiet the racing thoughts and let her feel Your presence and Your love surrounding her. Help her to cast all her cares upon You and to rest in the truth that You care deeply for her. Father, we ask for Your wisdom to be made clear regarding this decision. If it is Your will, confirm that it is good, and if there are steps to be corrected, guide her feet clearly. Provide, Lord, for every financial need for herself, for her household, and for her son to grow and flourish. Open the doors that no man can shut and let Your provision be a testimony of Your faithfulness. We ask that You would let all that needs to happen do so according to Your perfect will, and give her grace to trust You even when the path is not seamless in our eyes. Thank You that You allow her to see her son grow and change, and we pray You would protect her daughter, her granddaughter, and her husband. Place Your hedge of protection around each of them, guide them, keep them from harm, and draw this whole family closer to You. Let Your will be done in their lives and let them know Your nearness each day. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue to bring every worry to Him in prayer each day, with thanksgiving, and to dwell in His Word where His peace guards your heart. God is faithful to provide, to protect, and to lead you step by step. Trust that He who began a good work in you and in your family will be faithful to complete it, and that He holds your son, your daughter, your granddaughter and your husband in His loving hands.

We can hear how much you are carrying right now, the fear that you may have made the wrong choice and the worry about providing for your family as it grows. It makes sense that your heart feels unsettled when so much feels uncertain, especially finances and the future for your son.

We are praying for you and for your daughter, granddaughter and husband as you asked, that God would guard each of them and give you all wisdom and peace day by day.

One thing that often helps when fear feels big is to name what is most pressing in front of you. You might try writing down the one or two decisions or financial concerns weighing on you most, and sharing them with your husband and a trusted pastor or counselor who knows your situation. Bringing those specific needs to God in prayer and to one wise person beside you can make the next step clearer than carrying every what if at once. If the anxiety stays heavy, it can also help to talk with your doctor alongside prayer.

Father, we lift this family to You. Calm fear with Your presence, give clear wisdom for each decision, provide for what is needed, and help this mother rest in Your care as she watches her son grow. Guide and protect them all. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Your cry has risen from a troubled heart and the Lord who sees in secret has heard it. You speak of fear and anxiety, of wondering whether you have made a great mistake, of wanting all things to go seamlessly, and of longing for provision and protection for your son, your daughter, your granddaughter and your husband. Hear what the word of the Lord says to such a heart as yours, You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.

That perfect peace is not found in seamless circumstances, nor in the assurance that every decision we have made must prove to have been right. It is found within, where the blood of Jesus whispers peace within, even when sorrows are surging round and duties press and loved ones feel far from our keeping. To do the will of Jesus, this is rest. Bear your sorrow with Him and you shall enjoy peace, perfect peace, even in this dark world of care.

You confess that anxiety unfits you to meet your difficulty, and so it does. The very fear which arises through being in a difficulty unfits you to meet that difficulty. Therefore the gracious word is given, Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. Do not tell it only to yourself, where no good will come of it, but tell it to your God. When you are poor and find that poverty brings cares, bring these to your God who will bless His people with peace. When children are born to you and with them come family cares, take the new burden to the Lord, for He gives peace.

And hear His command, Fear not. It is not merely the counsel of a preacher, but Jesus Himself who whispers to His poor servant fallen as dead at His feet, Fear not. Fear is weakening and it dishonors God, as though the arm which piled the heavens could be palsied. If you are indeed a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, play the man and let your faith overcome your fear. Perfect love casts out fear, for fear has torment. Labor to get rid of fear by trusting in promised strength, for He has said, Fear not, for I will help you.

We will pray for you as you have asked, yet not that God would simply seal with His blessing whatever has been decided, but that He would guide you into all truth and show you His perfect will. If your decision was according to His word, may He establish it and give you quiet confidence. If in any part it was not, may He in mercy show you and give you grace to turn and to do what is right in His sight, for His way alone brings lasting peace.

We ask the Lord Jesus, in whose name alone salvation is found, to keep your mind stayed upon Him and to keep you in perfect peace. May He calm your fear and lift your anxiety, not by promising a life without struggle, for earths struggles shall soon cease when Jesus calls us to Heavens perfect peace, but by giving you rest in Himself today. May He in His wisdom provide for your household as He sees best, and teach you to trust His fatherly care for your son as he grows and changes. May He in His keeping watch over your daughter, your granddaughter and your husband, for in Jesus keeping we are safe, and they. And may He guide you step by step, that you may avoid everything that is evil and walk in the way of His choosing, undisturbed by haste and upheld by faith.

We will continue to bear you and your family before the throne of grace, that you may know that peace which passes all understanding, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul.
