Extremely anxious over the last couple of days, in full panic mode, I could really do with your prayers. Please help me. Thankyou

We hear your cry for help, dear brother or sister, and we lift you up before the throne of grace with hearts full of compassion. The weight of anxiety, OCD, and worry can feel crushing, like a storm raging within you, but we stand with you in the name of Jesus Christ, who is our peace and our refuge. You are not alone in this battle, and we declare that the Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).

First, we want to gently remind you that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not already, we encourage you to place your trust in Him, for He alone can calm the storms within and without. Salvation comes through confessing with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believing in your heart that God raised Him from the dead (Romans 10:9). If you have not done so, we invite you to surrender your life to Him today, for He is the Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6).

Now, let us address the anxiety and worry that have taken hold of you. The Word of God tells us, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:6-7). We rebuke the spirit of fear in your life, for God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). The enemy would love to keep you bound in this cycle of worry, but we declare that you are set free in Jesus' name!

We also recognize that OCD can manifest in ways that feel overwhelming, as if your mind is trapped in a loop of intrusive thoughts. But we remind you that God’s truth is greater than any lie the enemy tries to plant in your mind. "We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ" (2 Corinthians 10:5). You are not defined by these thoughts or fears, you are defined by Christ, who loves you and calls you His own.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our dear brother/sister who is struggling with anxiety, OCD, and overwhelming worry. Lord, we ask that You would wrap Your arms of comfort around them right now. Calm their racing heart, still their troubled mind, and fill them with Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding. We rebuke the spirit of fear in Jesus’ name and declare that Your peace will guard their heart and mind.

Father, we ask that You would break the chains of OCD and anxiety that have taken hold. Give them the strength to take every thought captive and make it obedient to Christ. Remind them of Your promises, Lord, that You will never leave them nor forsake them (Hebrews 13:5). Surround them with Your presence, and let them feel Your love in a tangible way.

We pray for wisdom and discernment as they navigate this season. Lead them to godly counsel, whether through Scripture, prayer, or trusted believers who can speak truth into their life. Help them to cast all their cares upon You, Lord, for You care for them (1 Peter 5:7). Strengthen their faith, and remind them that You are their refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).

Lord, if there are any areas of their life where they have not fully surrendered to You, we ask that You would reveal those to them. Help them to trust You completely, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28).

We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness and for the victory we have in Jesus Christ. We declare that this battle is already won, and we speak healing, peace, and freedom over our brother/sister. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

In the days ahead, we encourage you to cling to God’s Word. Meditate on Scriptures that speak of His peace, such as Psalm 23, Isaiah 41:10, and Matthew 11:28-30. Surround yourself with believers who can pray for you and encourage you. If your anxiety or OCD feels unmanageable, do not hesitate to seek professional help from a Christian counselor or doctor who can provide godly guidance. Remember, seeking help is not a sign of weakness, it is a step of faith, trusting that God can work through others to bring healing.

You are deeply loved by the Father, and we stand with you in this battle. The Lord is your strength, and He will sustain you. Keep pressing into Him, and do not lose heart. "Cast your cares on the Lord and He will sustain you; He will never let the righteous be shaken" (Psalm 55:22). We are praying for you, and we believe that God is at work even now, bringing peace to your heart and mind.

We hear the desperation in your words, and we’re so sorry you’re in the thick of this right now. When anxiety hits full-panic mode, it’s not just a worried thought, it’s a physical storm. Racing heart, tight chest, that sense of unreality or dread. It can feel like you’re drowning or losing control. We want you to know: you are not losing your mind, and you are not alone. Countless people, including faithful believers, have walked through hours and days exactly like these, and the attack does pass. Right now your body’s alarm system is firing at full volume, but it’s a false alarm. You are safe, even if every nerve feels otherwise.

In the middle of panic, the simplest anchors can help. If you can, try breathing slowly with us in spirit: in for four counts, hold for four, out for six. This gently tells your nervous system the threat is over. Don’t fight the anxious thoughts; let them float through like clouds while you focus only on that next breath. And please consider reaching out to a trusted friend, pastor, or a Christian counselor who understands anxiety, not because your faith is weak, but because you don’t have to white-knuckle this alone. If the physical sensations are new or severe, it’s also wise to see a doctor to rule out any medical cause, just for peace of mind.

Lord Jesus, in Your name we lift up this one who feels swallowed by panic right now. Quiet their racing heart and still the storm inside. Let Your peace, which we cannot manufacture, settle over their mind and body like a blanket. Hold them steady through this wave, and give them courage to breathe through the next few minutes. Grant them rest tonight and gentle, practical help for the days ahead. You are with them in the fire and You do not let go. Amen.

I appreciate your prayers. Thank you so much. God bless you all and this ministry. Jesus Is Lord

The whirlwind of anxiety has swept you into a panic, and your soul is tossed with tempest. I have often seen that the very anxiety which arises from being in a difficulty unfits a man to meet that difficulty. You are like one who is much troubled up and down in his thoughts, lacking wisdom because of the turmoil. I pray you, then, ask wisdom of God.

Even out of the depths if you cry unto him, he will be pleased to instruct you and bring you into a safe way. You say you are in full panic mode, and I do not wonder, for few of us ever dreamed of seeing such sudden and violent shakings as those which now alarm your heart. But remember, our Savior's plain command is, "Do not be anxious." When you have done your best with your little, do not worry because you cannot make it more. Be prudent, do all that lies within your power, and then leave the rest with your heavenly Father, who cares for you.

I will gladly join you in prayer, and together we will ask that He who stilled the storm on Galilee would speak peace to your troubled breast. Above all, let this present distress drive you to the one great question that should overshadow all your fears: "Is my soul safe in the hands of Jesus Christ?" If you are His, then all these passing storms cannot harm your eternal treasure, and He will not let you be utterly cast down. Look away from the waves and fix your gaze upon the risen Savior; He is able to subdue all things unto Himself.
