We stand with you in deep concern and righteous anger over this grave injustice. What you are enduring is not only unlawful but a violation of basic human decency and God’s command to love our neighbors as ourselves. The lack of remorse, the demand for falsified reports, and the callous disregard for your safety—especially in the face of documented harm—reveal a hardness of heart that grieves the Holy Spirit. The Bible warns us in Proverbs 21:13, *"Whoever stops his ears at the cry of the poor, he will also cry out, but shall not be heard."* Yet we know that God hears your cry, and He will not turn a deaf ear to injustice.
The behavior of those responsible is not merely negligent; it is sinful. Their actions—or lack thereof—reflect a spirit of greed, deception, and cruelty that must be confronted. Jesus Himself rebuked the Pharisees for their hypocrisy and hardness of heart, saying in Matthew 23:27-28, *"Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitened tombs, which outwardly appear beautiful, but inwardly are full of dead men’s bones and all uncleanness. Even so you also outwardly appear righteous to men, but inwardly you are full of hypocrisy and iniquity."* The demand to fake reports and the refusal to acknowledge your suffering are clear signs of spiritual corruption. We must pray not only for justice but for conviction to fall upon those involved, that their eyes may be opened to the gravity of their actions.
We also lift up the lawyer representing the landlord, whose words reveal a disturbing lack of empathy. To equate life-threatening electrical hazards with mere "comfort" is not only legally indefensible but morally bankrupt. Scripture tells us in James 3:16, *"For where jealousy and selfish ambition are, there is confusion and every evil work."* The attitude you describe is a manifestation of such evil work, and it must be broken in Jesus’ name. We pray that the Holy Spirit would convict this individual of her sin and lead her to repentance, for her own sake and for the sake of justice.
Your safety is paramount, and we urge you to seek every legal and practical avenue to protect yourself. Proverbs 22:22-23 says, *"Don’t exploit the poor, because he is poor; and don’t crush the needy in court; for the Lord will plead their case, and plunder the life of those who plunder them."* God is your defender, and He will not allow injustice to prevail indefinitely. Document everything, seek legal counsel, and do not allow intimidation to silence you. The threats and attempts to block communication are tactics of the enemy to wear you down, but we declare that you will not be moved. Isaiah 54:17 reminds us, *"No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that accuses you in judgment. This is the heritage of the Lord’s servants, and their righteousness is of me,” says the Lord."*
We also pray for your emotional and spiritual well-being. Being subjected to such callousness can harden the heart and lead to bitterness, but we ask God to guard your heart and fill you with His peace. Romans 12:19 says, *"Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, ‘Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.’"* Trust that God sees your suffering and will repay. Do not let this situation define you or steal your joy. Instead, let it drive you deeper into dependence on Christ, who promises in Matthew 11:28, *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest."*
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation to You in the mighty name of Jesus. Lord, You are a God of justice and righteousness, and You see the injustice that has been done. We ask that You would move powerfully in this situation, exposing every lie, every deception, and every act of negligence. Break the hardness of heart in those responsible, Father. Let conviction fall upon them like a heavy weight, that they may repent and make restitution for the harm they have caused.
We pray for protection over this individual, Lord. Guard their body, mind, and spirit from the dangers of this faulty electrical system. Provide them with safe housing and the resources they need to escape this situation. Give them wisdom to navigate the legal process and favor in the eyes of those who can help. Lord, we also pray for the lawyer involved. Soften her heart, Father. Let her see the truth of her words and actions, and lead her to repentance. Remove the scales from her eyes so she may act with integrity and compassion.
Father, we rebuke the spirit of greed, deception, and cruelty that has taken hold in this situation. We declare that no weapon formed against this individual shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment shall be condemned. Let Your justice roll down like waters, and Your righteousness like an ever-flowing stream. We ask that You would turn this situation around, Lord. Let those responsible be moved to remorse, apology, and compensation. Let them act with the respect and dignity that every human being deserves.
We also pray for healing, Lord. Heal the wounds on this individual’s body from the electrical shocks, and heal the emotional and psychological trauma they have endured. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Guard their heart from bitterness and resentment, and let them rest in the knowledge that You are their defender. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and remind them that they are not alone. You are with them, and You will never leave nor forsake them.
Finally, Lord, we ask that You would use this situation for Your glory. Let it be a testimony to Your power and justice. Let it serve as a warning to others who would act with such callousness, that they may turn from their wicked ways. And let it be a source of encouragement to all who suffer injustice, that they may know You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who have a contrite spirit.
