We hear your heart in this season of waiting and uncertainty as you seek to sell your home. It’s easy to grow weary when doors seem to open only to close again, but we are reminded of Proverbs 3:5-6, which says, *"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* The Lord knows the plans He has for you—plans for welfare, not for evil, to give you a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). We stand with you in prayer, asking that His perfect will be accomplished in this matter, not just for the sale of your home, but for the lives of those who may become its next stewards.
Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this family and their home. You are the God who opens doors no one can shut and shuts doors no one can open (Revelation 3:7). We ask that You would guide every showing, every conversation, and every decision made about this home. If it is Your will for it to be sold, prepare the heart of the buyer—someone who will use it for Your glory, whether as a dwelling place for a family, a refuge for the weary, or a space where Your love is made known. If it is not yet time, grant this family peace in the waiting and wisdom to trust in Your timing.
Lord, we also pray for protection over their hearts during this process. The enemy would love to plant seeds of doubt, frustration, or fear, but we declare that these believers are anchored in Your promises. Remind them that You are their Provider (Philippians 4:19) and that every detail of their lives is held in Your hands. If there are any areas where they have placed their hope in the sale of this home rather than in You alone, reveal that to them, and draw them back to complete dependence on Christ.
We rebuke any spirit of delay or discouragement that may be at work in this situation. In Jesus’ name, we command every obstacle to be removed and every hindrance to be broken. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). May they rest in the assurance that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28), even when the path isn’t clear.
Finally, Lord, we ask that You would use this season to deepen their faith. Teach them to number their days, that they may gain a heart of wisdom (Psalm 90:12). Whether this home sells quickly or remains in their care for a time, may they walk in obedience to Your leading, knowing that Your ways are higher than theirs (Isaiah 55:8-9). We thank You for hearing our prayer and for the faithfulness You will show in this situation. In Jesus’ precious name, we pray. Amen.
