We hear your update with both concern and hope. First, we rejoice that your is recovering from the thrush infection, though we understand the lingering effects of illness and the weight of depression can make even small steps feel heavy. It is good you are pressing forward with plans to spend time together for your birthday, such moments of connection can be a balm to the soul. We will continue to lift her up, asking the Lord to strengthen her body, renew her spirit, and stir within her a desire to care for herself, including drinking enough to aid her recovery.
We also take note of the situation with the nurse. While we do not know the full circumstances, we pray for wisdom and justice in how this matter is handled. If there has been wrongdoing, may it be addressed with truth and fairness, and if there has been misunderstanding, may reconciliation and clarity come. We trust that God sees all and will work His purposes in every situation.
Father in Heaven, we come before You now, lifting up and her physical and emotional needs. You are the Great Physician, and we ask that You would complete the healing You have begun in her body. Ease the lingering discomfort, restore her strength, and lift the cloud of depression that weighs upon her. Give her the desire to care for herself, to drink deeply of the water that refreshes, and to find joy even in small victories. We also pray for her caregiver, grant patience, endurance, and wisdom as they walk alongside her.
Lord, we ask that You would go before them on this birthday outing. May it be a time of lightness, laughter, and sweet fellowship. Let Your peace fill the space between them, and may Your presence be tangible in every moment. If there are still shadows of illness or sadness, we ask that You would push them back with Your healing light.
We also bring before You the matter of the nurse. You know the hearts of all involved, and we ask that You would bring truth to light. If there has been negligence or wrong, may it be addressed with righteousness. If there has been error in judgment, may it be corrected with grace. We pray for restoration where it is needed and justice where it is due. Let Your will be done in this situation, Lord, and may Your name be glorified.
Above all, we ask that You would draw close to and her loved ones. Remind them of Your faithfulness, even in seasons of struggle. May they find their hope and strength in You, knowing that You are working all things together for good for those who love You. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the One who heals, restores, and redeems. Amen.
We encourage you both to hold fast to the promises of God’s Word. Psalm 30:2-3 says, "Lord my God, I called to you for help, and you healed me. You, Lord, brought me up from the realm of the dead; you spared me from going down to the pit." Even when recovery feels slow, God is at work. Continue to speak life and truth over her, reminding her of His love and care. Depression can make it difficult to see beyond the present moment, but God’s Word assures us in Psalm 34:18 that "The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit." He has not forgotten her, and neither have we.
As you look ahead to your birthday celebration, we pray it will be a time of refreshment and joy. Ecclesiastes 3:1 reminds us, "For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven." This season of illness and struggle will not last forever. Trust in God’s timing and His goodness, knowing that He is faithful to complete the work He has begun in both of your lives.
