Another sign of the times?

I notice a change from the past, and putting it together with other things read about in Scripture, it seems to fit. For confirmation... in the past, I could "coast" with things, nothing "real wrong but maybe I was slacking off a bit, and it seemed that I was spared the consequences. With God's grace, remained in a "harmless state" in life, and (for the most part) had a more simple life. Now, I notice I'm not spared the pitfalls, the bottom has fallen out, which "back then" I thought could never happen. When I read other posts, I see others have had similar experiences. So I wonder... maybe we're out of the grace period, and into the judgment or refining period... or because in the last days we read "Woe to the Earth and to the sea, for the devil has come down to you having great anger, knowing he has a short period of time." I think "the bottom falling out" is not just me, but others (tribulation on saints, judgment upon the unsaved) as well as things happening seemingly more quickly, is this change as I suspect have to do with the end times? (?)

We hear your heart and share in your observations about the times we are living in. The Word of God does indeed warn us that in the last days, perilous times will come. 2 Timothy 3:1-5 tells us, "But know this, that in the last days, grievous times will come. For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, not lovers of good, traitors, headstrong, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God; holding a form of godliness, but having denied its power." The signs you are noticing could very well be part of the fulfillment of these prophecies.

It is also true that God’s grace has been abundant, and there have been times when we may have taken it for granted, coasting along without facing the full consequences of our actions. However, the refining fire of trials is not necessarily a sign of God’s absence but rather His presence, working to purify and strengthen His people. 1 Peter 1:6-7 says, "Wherein you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been put to grief in various trials, that the proof of your faith, which is more precious than gold that perishes even though it is tested by fire, may be found to result in praise, glory, and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ." The trials you are experiencing now may be God’s way of drawing you closer to Him, refining your faith, and preparing you for what is to come.

We must also consider that the enemy, as you mentioned, is indeed at work with great wrath, knowing his time is short. Revelation 12:12 warns, "Woe to the earth and to the sea, because the devil has gone down to you, having great wrath, knowing that he has but a short time." The increase in tribulation, both for believers and the unsaved, is a sign of the times. But we are not left without hope. Jesus Himself told us in John 16:33, "In the world you have oppression, but cheer up! I have overcome the world." Our victory is in Christ, and no matter how dark the days may seem, His light will prevail.

Let us also address the matter of grace and judgment. While it is true that God’s grace has covered us, we must not mistake grace for permission to remain complacent. Romans 6:1-2 asks, "What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? May it never be! We who died to sin, how could we live in it any longer?" The refining you are experiencing may be God’s way of calling you to a deeper walk with Him, to leave behind any areas where you have been "coasting" and to press into His will with greater fervency.

We come before the Lord together, lifting up these concerns and seeking His wisdom and strength. Father God, we acknowledge that You are sovereign over all things, and nothing happens outside of Your knowledge or control. We see the signs of the times and recognize that we are living in days that require greater faith, vigilance, and dependence on You. Lord, we ask for Your grace to endure the trials and tribulations that come our way. Strengthen us, refine us, and draw us closer to You. Help us to stand firm in Your truth, even as the world around us grows darker. Give us discernment to recognize the enemy’s schemes and the wisdom to walk in Your ways. We pray for those who are unsaved, that their eyes would be opened to the truth of the Gospel before it is too late. May we be bold in sharing Your love and the hope we have in Christ Jesus. We declare that no weapon formed against us will prosper, and we trust in Your promise that You will never leave us nor forsake us. Prepare our hearts for the days ahead, and let us be found faithful when Christ returns. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to press into God’s Word and His presence during this time. The days may be growing darker, but the light of Christ shines all the brighter in the darkness. Let this season of refining draw you into a deeper relationship with Him, where you find your strength, peace, and hope. Stand firm in the faith, knowing that God is with you, and He will see you through to the end.

We hear your heart, dear friend, and we're right there with you, noticing the changes around us. It's like we're living in a time when things are shifting, and we're not sure what to make of it all. But remember, even in the midst of uncertainty, we have a sure foundation in Jesus Christ.

We've been reading the signs of the times, and it does seem like we're in a period of judgment or refining, doesn't it? Like you, we've felt the grace of God in our lives, but now it's like we're not being spared the consequences of our actions like before. It's almost as if God is saying, "It's time to wake up, my children. It's time to get serious about your faith."

We've been reading in Revelation about the devil having great wrath, knowing his time is short. It's like we're seeing more trouble, more trials, both for believers and the unsaved. But we must remember, Jesus has overcome the world. Our victory is in Him, and no matter how dark the days may seem, His light will always prevail.

Let's keep seeking God's face, asking Him for wisdom and strength to endure these trials. Let's press into Him, allowing these times to refine us and draw us closer to Him. Let's be found faithful when Christ returns.

Let's pray together: "Father, we come before You, acknowledging that You are sovereign over all things. We see the signs of the times, Lord, and we need Your grace to endure the trials that come our way. Strengthen us, refine us, and draw us closer to You. Help us to stand firm in Your truth, even as the world grows darker. Give us discernment to recognize the enemy's schemes and the wisdom to walk in Your ways. We pray for the unsaved, that their eyes would be opened to the truth of the Gospel. Help us to be bold in sharing Your love and the hope we have in Christ Jesus. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen."

Let's keep encouraging each other, dear friend. The days may be growing darker, but the light of Christ shines brighter in the darkness. Let this season of refining draw us into a deeper relationship with Him, where we find our strength, peace, and hope. Stand firm in the faith, knowing that God is with you, and He will see you through to the end.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for the trust you placed in us to stand with you in prayer during this time of reflection and concern. It’s clear that your heart is seeking understanding and confirmation as you observe the shifts around you and compare them to the truths found in Scripture. We have lifted up your request, asking the Lord to grant you wisdom, discernment, and peace as you navigate these observations, and to reveal His purpose in the seasons of refining that you and so many others are experiencing.

If the Lord has provided clarity, comfort, or confirmation since you posted, we would be deeply encouraged to hear how He has moved in your life. Your praise report could be a source of strength and hope for others who are walking through similar questions. On the other hand, if the weight of these concerns still feels heavy or the answers haven’t yet come, we invite you to share your request again. We are here to continue standing with you in prayer, interceding for God’s guidance, protection, and revelation as you seek Him in these days.

May the Holy Spirit draw near to you, filling your heart with the assurance that even in times of shaking, God remains sovereign and unchanging. May He deepen your faith as you press into Him, trusting that He is working all things together for the good of those who love Him. We pray this in the mighty name of Jesus.
