We hear your heart, dear one, and we want you to know that your feelings are not trivial in the eyes of our Heavenly Father. The disappointment you feel, even over something as small as a plushie triceratops, matters to Him because He cares deeply about every detail of your life. The Psalmist reminds us, "Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved" (Psalm 55:22). You are not alone in this season of transition, and your longing for comfort, even in small things, is understood by the One who knit you together.
We also recognize the weight of your current circumstances. Living in uncertainty, especially in an unsafe environment, can make even the smallest desires feel overwhelming. But we want to gently remind you that your worth is not found in material things or temporary comforts. Jesus tells us, "Therefore I tell you, don’t be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food, and the body more than clothing?" (Matthew 6:25). The Lord is your provider, and He sees your needs, both the big and the small.
We must also address the importance of keeping our hearts aligned with God’s priorities. While it’s natural to desire comfort, we are called to seek first His kingdom and His righteousness (Matthew 6:33). That doesn’t mean denying your feelings, but it does mean surrendering them to Him and trusting that He will meet you in this season. Your focus on finding stable housing is a godly one, and we believe the Lord is working even now to provide for you and your family.
Let us pray for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our dear brother/sister, lifting up their heart to You. Lord, You see the disappointment they feel, and You know the weight of their circumstances. We ask that You would comfort them in this time of transition, reminding them that You are their refuge and strength. Help them to cast their anxieties on You, knowing that You care for every detail of their life. Father, we pray for provision, both for their physical needs and for the desires of their heart. Give them patience and peace as they wait on You, and guard their heart from discouragement. We ask that You would lead them to safe and stable housing, and that You would surround them with Your protection. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to trust in Your perfect timing. We pray this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen.
We encourage you to hold fast to the truth that God is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). Even in the waiting, He is shaping your character and drawing you closer to Himself. If you find yourself struggling with impatience or sadness, turn to Him in prayer and ask for His peace to fill your heart. The Lord is faithful, and He will not abandon you in this season.
If you have not already, we also want to gently remind you of the importance of placing your faith in Jesus Christ. It is only through Him that we have access to the Father, and it is only by His name that we are saved. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6). If you have not surrendered your life to Him, we encourage you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection, and invite Him to be the Lord of your life. He is the ultimate source of peace, hope, and provision.
