We join you in bringing these many people and needs before the throne of grace and we appreciate your heart for salvation, for you have asked in Jesus Christ name and we agree that it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and that anyone can be saved.
We hear your burden for the individuals whose names were redacted, for the stepmom, for Star's wife's family, for the people in each of their lives, and for all those at the College of the Holy Cross including students and employees. Scripture tells us that God desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth, 1 Timothy 2:4, and that the Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness, but is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance, 2 Peter 3:9. We also cling to the promise that there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12, and that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved, Romans 10:9. For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life, John 3:16.
We also hear your concern about liberal ideology and liberal arts schools, about secret societies, and about a song title with evil sounds and a certain way of thinking that you want removed along with other things you mention that only God fully knows. We share your desire for truth and holiness to prevail, and we want to gently encourage you in how we pray about institutions. Rather than praying for the annihilation of people or for schools to simply be destroyed, we pray for the people within them to be saved, for deception to be exposed, and for what is contrary to God's Word to be replaced with truth. We are called to have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather even reprove them, Ephesians 5:11, and to see minds transformed. We pray for colleges and universities that have drifted into worldly philosophies to be convicted and to return to honoring God, and for any secret societies or hidden works to be brought into the light, for everything that is revealed is made known by the light.
We also pray for your own mind and heart regarding the way of thinking and the evil sounds you want removed. We pray that God will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you, Ezekiel 36:26, and that you will not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well pleasing, and perfect will of God, Romans 12:2. We pray that whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good report will fill your thoughts, Philippians 4:8.
We now pray together.
Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up each person mentioned in this request, those known by name to you and those whose names were redacted, the stepmom, Star's wife's family, and all the people connected to their lives. You know each heart and whether each one has been reconciled to you through Jesus. We ask that if they are in need of salvation, you would draw them by your Holy Spirit, open their eyes to their need for a Savior, grant them repentance and faith in Jesus Christ alone, and save them. We pray the same for every student and employee at the College of the Holy Cross and for all those connected to them. Lord, let your gospel be proclaimed there with boldness and clarity and let many believe.
Father, we pray for that college and for other schools that have embraced liberal ideologies contrary to your Word. We do not pray out of hatred for people, but out of love for truth. We ask that you would expose what is hidden, remove secret societies and every influence that leads people away from you, and bring these institutions to honor you, to teach what is true and good, and to acknowledge you as Lord. Let your truth prevail and let those who teach and learn there come to know you.
Lord, we ask that you remove the title of that song and its evil sounds from influence, and that you remove the certain way of thinking and the other things this dear one carries that are burdensome and not of you. Cleanse what is unholy, break every chain, and fill that place with your peace and with thoughts that honor you. We trust that you know the unspoken details and the something else that was not fully expressed, and we ask you to work according to your perfect will.
We thank you that you hear us when we pray in Jesus name and we trust you to save, to transform, and to make all things new. In Jesus Christ name we pray, amen.
