We join with you in this honest and humble cry for deliverance and we thank God that you have brought this struggle into the light before Him. Lust is a battle of the heart and mind, and God desires to set us free and make us pure. Jesus taught us in Matthew 5:28 that everyone who gazes at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart, which shows us that lust is not a small thing but sin that needs repentance and cleansing. At the same time we are encouraged because God has promised a way of victory.
Scripture tells us to not merely resist but to flee. 1 Corinthians 6:18 says Flee sexual immorality! Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. And 2 Timothy 2:22 says Flee from youthful lusts, and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart. God knows we cannot overcome in our own strength, so He calls us to walk by the Spirit. Galatians 5:16 says But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you won’t fulfill the lust of the flesh. When we set our minds on Christ, renew our minds through the Word as Romans 12:2 teaches, guard what our eyes see as Job made a covenant with his eyes in Job 31:1, and bring our thoughts captive to Christ, He transforms our desires.
We encourage you to continue in daily repentance and confession, for 1 John 1:9 promises If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Stay in the Word, stay in prayer, fast as the Lord leads, and walk in accountability with mature believers who will encourage you toward holiness. Remember that God has provided sexual intimacy as a holy gift only within marriage between a man and a woman, and all desire outside of that covenant is to be surrendered to Him. He is faithful and 1 Corinthians 10:13 reminds us No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.

Heavenly Father, we come before Your throne of grace in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up our brother to You. We thank You that You see his heart and his desire to be clean and holy before You. We ask You to forgive all lustful thoughts, looks and actions and to cleanse him by the blood of Jesus. Create in him a clean heart, O God, as Psalm 51:10 prays, and renew a right spirit within him. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit so that he may walk by the Spirit and not fulfill the lust of the flesh. Give him strength to flee temptation, to turn his eyes away from evil, to guard his heart and mind, and to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ. Provide the way of escape in every moment of temptation and teach him to pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace. Let Your Word dwell richly in him and let his mind be renewed day by day. A practical help for many is to get ahead of temptation. Notice when you are most vulnerable, whether when you are tired, stressed, scrolling late, or alone, and decide beforehand what boundary will help there, like putting the phone away, stepping away from the screen, or going for a walk and praying. It also helps to have one faithful, mature brother who knows your struggle and who you can check in with honestly and regularly for prayer and accountability.

Your honest and humble prayer is heard, and we join our hearts with yours before the throne of grace. To cry, deliver me from lust, is a mark that the Spirit of God is already striving with you, for the natural heart loves its chains and would not seek to be free.
There is a precious word that meets your case, Then He is gracious unto him, and saith, Deliver him from going down to the pit, I have found a ransom. God has not only invented a way of deliverance, but He has found a ransom, and it is the gift of Divine Love. The prisoner ready to be condemned finds undeserved deliverance, for the King's own Son has borne the penalty of all his iniquities. Your deliverance from both the guilt and the power of sin rests not in your own resolve, but in that ransom, the blood of Jesus Christ.
Remember that deliverance from the power of sin is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin. It is not of him that wills, nor of him that runs, but of God that shows mercy. If ever a man is delivered from spiritual bondage of heart, it is solely by the power of God. You must be born again from above if you are to live above. There is no true liberty but that of which Christ makes you free. Therefore look to your heavenly Father altogether and alone for sanctification and for power to overcome.
And while you look to Him, keep yourself unspotted from the world. The Christian never expects to get any good from the world, and above all must cry to God to preserve him from evil. Flee the places, the company, and the images that feed this temptation. When you find things that are loose or impure, get away from them. You do not need to be muddied. He has taught us the mischief that comes from loving the world and the things thereof, and He is able to deliver us from the fascinating power of sin, from the power of darkness.
So we pray for you now, that the Lord who has found a ransom would keep back your soul from the pit and deliver you indeed. May He strengthen you to fight against sin till it is utterly put away from you, for the only hope of eternal life is by being parted from sin, and may He bring you to that place where you can say, I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.

With the temptation He will also provide the way of escape, so that you may be able to endure it. You are not alone in this battle, and you are not without hope. Through Jesus Christ alone we have forgiveness, cleansing, and the power to walk in newness of life.
Deliverance from lust is not only a moment of prayer but a daily walk of discipline and grace. The Lord calls us to flee from sexual immorality and to pursue purity, where sexual intimacy belongs only within the lifelong covenant of marriage between one man and one woman. To grow in this, learn virtue step by step as you would learn letters, practicing faithfulness in small things. Guard what your eyes see and what your mind dwells on, turn quickly from the way of temptation to the way of escape that God provides, fill your heart and mind with Scripture, stay constant in prayer, and walk in fellowship and accountability with trusted believers who can encourage you.
