We join with you in lifting up this ### before the throne of grace and we are encouraged by your compassionate heart to intercede for his salvation. It is a beautiful thing to stand in the gap for another soul, for we know God desires that none should perish.
We are reminded of the heart of our Father in 1 Timothy 2:3-4 that God our Savior desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth, and in 2 Peter 3:9 that the Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness, but is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. We also rejoice that you prayed in the name of Jesus Christ, for we know there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12 and that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved Romans 10:9. For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life John 3:16.
We pray together for him now.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this ### to You. You know him by name, You know his heart, his circumstances, and his need. If he does not yet know You as Savior and Lord, we ask that You draw him to Yourself by Your Holy Spirit. Open his eyes to see his need for forgiveness, soften his heart to receive Your truth, and lead him to confess Jesus as Lord and believe that You raised Him from the dead. Grant him repentance and faith, wash him in the blood of Jesus, give him a new heart and put a new spirit within him, and let him be born again into Your family. Surround him with witnesses who will speak the gospel to him with love and clarity, and remove every hindrance and deception that would keep him from You. We ask that You save him completely and establish him in Your grace, that he may walk in newness of life and know the hope of eternal life. We thank You that You hear our prayer because we ask in the name of Jesus, our only mediator and hope.
We encourage you to continue to pray faithfully for him and to be ready, as God gives opportunity, to share the good news of Jesus with gentleness and love. The Lord is faithful to hear the prayers of His people and He is mighty to save. We trust Him to do His perfect work in this ###'s life according to His will and for His glory.

Thank you for taking a moment to lift this engineer to the Lord. That kind of quiet intercession is real love in action, and we are grateful you shared it with us.
We do not know his story or what he is facing right now, but God does. We can trust that God hears when we bring someone to Him in Jesus' name and that He is patient and merciful, drawing people to Himself. Your prayer already puts this man before the One who alone can give forgiveness and new life.
If he is someone you know at work or in your community, we would gently encourage you to keep holding him in prayer in the days ahead and, as God gives opportunity, to simply be a steady, kind presence. Sometimes an open door to talk about faith comes through ordinary faithfulness, listening well and being ready to share quietly why you have hope in Christ.
We are joining you in this now.
Father, we lift this engineer to You. If he does not yet know You, we ask that You would open his heart to Jesus and bring people and truth across his path. Draw him to Yourself and give him life in Your Son. We pray this in Jesus' name, amen.

Beloved of All
It is a gracious thing that your heart has been moved to plead for another soul, for intercessory prayer is an act of communion with Christ Himself, who ever lives to make intercession for us within the veil. When we pray for our fellow sinners we are in sympathy with our Divine Savior who made intercession for the transgressors, and such prayers are often of unspeakable value to those for whom they are offered.
Your supplication for this engineer, that if he be in need of salvation the Lord would save him, is according to the will of God, for the Lord would have all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. There is indeed only one salvation, and it is to be found in the Lord Jesus Christ alone. He is not merely a Savior, He is salvation itself. With the heart man believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation, for the Scripture says, Whoever believes on Him shall not be ashamed.
We would join our prayer with yours and entreat the heavenly Father after this manner. O Lord our God, look in mercy upon this engineer of whom our friend has made mention. If he be yet unregenerate and without Christ, awaken him to his need, show him his sin and his danger, and turn his eyes to look unto Jesus that he may be saved, for You have said, Look unto Me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth. Grant him that faith by which alone salvation comes, even faith in the Lamb of God who bore our sins in His own body. Let him see the sweet reasonableness of a Substitute for guilty men, and may he receive pardon freely without money and without price, by Divine Grace through faith in Christ Jesus. And if he be already Yours, keep him and build him up in that salvation which is sure and present and everlasting.
Take this as an encouragement to continue in prevalent intercession. He who in answer to prayer has seen others blessed and saved may take it as a pledge of Divine love. Therefore we will wait upon the Lord and plead still, for He has made all these things and He hears the cry of those who come to God by Him. May you also know for yourself that same salvation, by looking unto Christ alone and resting wholly upon Him, and may your own burden for others be a sign that grace is at work in your own heart.
We commend this engineer and yourself to Him who is able to save to the uttermost all that come unto God by Him, in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Your prayer for this engineer is good and pleasing to God, and we join with you in it. Scripture tells us that God desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth, and that our heart's desire and prayer to God for others should be that they might be saved.
Prayer is a great weapon that God has given us, and when we pray for one another we are helping together for that person's good. Even as God acts in mercy, He uses the prayers of His people. So it is right to bring this man before the Lord, whether he already knows Christ or is still in need of salvation.
We pray with you now: Heavenly Father, we thank You that salvation is through Jesus Christ alone. We ask in His name that You would draw this engineer to Yourself, open the ears of his heart to hear Your word, grant him repentance and faith in Your Son, and keep him in Your mercy. If he does not yet know You, bring him to salvation. If he does know You, strengthen him and keep him faithful. Make him to know the truth of the gospel and to walk in it. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, our only hope of salvation. Amen.
Continue to pray for him with confidence, and as God gives opportunity, share the good news of Christ with him in love and truth.
