Beloved of All
heavenly father pls for there to be no earthquakes in ###. pls kindly remove a certain individual from memory so i wont remember her. shes in ###. in jesus christ name. amen.

We join you in bringing these burdens before our heavenly Father and we thank you for closing your request in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the throne of grace.

We hear your concern about earthquakes in the place you mentioned and your desire for peace and safety there. We understand how unsettling the thought of such events can be. Scripture reminds us that God is sovereign over all creation and is our refuge in every trouble. Psalm 46:1 tells us God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble, and Psalm 46:2-3 reminds us that we will not fear though the earth changes. Jesus Himself said in Matthew 24:7 that earthquakes will happen in various places, yet we are called not to live in fear but to trust Him. Isaiah 41:10 says Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. We cannot command that no natural events will ever occur according to our wishes, but we can trust God's perfect will and pray for His protection, mercy, and peace over that land and its people.

We also hear your prayer to have a certain individual removed from your memory. We understand the pain that can make you wish to simply forget someone, and we bring that hurt to the Lord with you. Rather than asking God to erase our memory, Scripture invites us to bring our thoughts captive to Christ and to allow Him to heal our hearts. 2 Corinthians 10:5 speaks of bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and Philippians 4:8 encourages us to think on whatever things are true, honorable, just, pure, lovely and of good report. Psalm 147:3 promises He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. Philippians 4:6-7 also reminds us In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. If this person is someone who caused you hurt or with whom there was a relationship that did not honor God, we encourage you to seek healing through forgiveness as Ephesians 4:32 teaches, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you, and to allow God to replace bitterness or painful remembrance with His peace. If this was a romantic connection, we pray that God will bring healing and guide you toward relationships that align with His design, a courtship that honors Him and looks toward godly marriage between a man and a woman as He intends, with purity and faithfulness.

We pray together with you now.

Father in heaven, we lift up to You the place that was mentioned and all who live there. We ask for Your mercy and protection and we pray that You would guard them and keep them safe according to Your perfect will. Help us to trust You as our refuge and not give in to fear, knowing that You hold the earth in Your hands and that nothing is outside Your control. We also lift up this dear one who is struggling with painful memories. Lord, we ask that You heal the heart and mind, that You comfort and bring Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Teach us to forgive as You have forgiven us and to dwell on what is pure and lovely. Renew thoughts and bring wholeness, so that what is remembered no longer brings pain but is redeemed by Your grace. Lead and guide each step forward and let Your will be done in all things. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, amen.

We encourage you to continue to cast all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you as 1 Peter 5:7 says, and to remain in prayer and in the Word daily, trusting that God will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus and use even painful memories for your growth and His glory.

We noticed your prayer and we are grateful you brought these burdens to the Lord so honestly. Wanting to feel safe where you live and wanting relief from a memory that keeps coming back are both understandable longings, and we hear how much peace you are hoping for.

One thing we have found helpful when a memory feels stuck is not to strain to erase it by force, which often keeps it front and center, but to quietly bring it to Jesus when it surfaces and ask Him to gently soften its hold and fill that space with His peace. If thoughts about earthquakes or about this person start to loop and make it hard to rest or get through the day, it can help to step away from news or social media for a time, take a brief walk, and share what you are carrying with a trusted pastor or friend who can pray with you in person. If the worry ever feels overwhelming, please also consider reaching out to a counselor or medical professional alongside prayer.

God sees you and the places you named, and He is near even when we feel unsettled.

Father, we lift them to You. Grant a sense of safety and calm where they live, and guard their heart and mind with Your peace. When this memory comes, draw near, ease its sting, and help them rest in Your care day by day. Lead them to supportive people who can walk with them. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your prayer has been brought before the Lord and we have joined our hearts with yours at the throne of grace.

Concerning the fear of earthquakes in the place upon your heart, we remember that our Lord is He who commands both wind and sea, and they obey Him. The disciples feared when the storm was upon them, and Jesus said, Why are ye so fearful, how is it that ye have no faith. He who holds the earth in His hands has not forgotten His people. We have asked the Lord in His mercy to keep that land and its people in His preserving hand, to grant safety according to His wise and sovereign will, and to give you peace to trust Him whether the earth be still or shake, for He is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

Concerning the memory that troubles you, we hear the ache of a heart that would be healed. The Scripture says, He healeth the broken in heart and bindeth up their wounds. There is healing virtue not only in the fruit of Christ but in the very leaves of the tree of life, for the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. The Lord does not always take away the memory itself, but He can heal the wound that the memory has left, change the life blood, and make the nature other than it was before. We have prayed that He would grant you this healing, that He would cleanse the sorrow and give you a quiet mind stayed upon Him, and that where there has been pain there may be forgiveness and wholeness through His pardoning hand. For pardon and healing are joined together in Christ.

Let us pray together. Heavenly Father, Thou rulest the earth and the sea, and not a sparrow falls without Thy knowledge. We ask Thy mercy upon that place which has been named before Thee, keep it and its inhabitants from destruction, and let Thy will be done in wisdom and goodness. And Lord, look upon this wounded heart, heal the brokenness, wash away sin by the blood of Christ, and give rest to the thoughts that disquiet. Grant faith to rest in Thy goodness and to know that to be with Christ is to be at home. May this soul hear the Saviour say, Thy faith hath saved thee, go in peace, and may that peace which passeth all understanding keep heart and mind through Christ Jesus. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who alone is salvation. Amen.
