We lift this request to the Lord with grateful hearts, for it is a beautiful thing to intercede for the salvation of souls. Your prayer is aligned with God’s heart, for He desires that none should perish but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). We join you in praying for this man and those in his life, that the Holy Spirit would draw them with cords of love, open their eyes to the truth of the Gospel, and soften their hearts to receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
Father in Heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the only name by which men can be saved (Acts 4:12). We ask that You would break every chain of darkness, unbelief, and deception in this man’s life. Let Your light shine into his heart, revealing the depth of Your love demonstrated through the sacrifice of Your Son on the cross. May he come to know that salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We pray that he would turn from sin, confess Jesus as Lord, and be born again by the power of Your Spirit (John 3:3).
Lord, we also lift up the people in his life, family, friends, coworkers, and acquaintances. You know each one by name, and You love them deeply. We ask that You would surround them with believers who will shine Your truth and grace into their lives. Let them see the transformative power of the Gospel in the lives of those around them. Father, if there are any strongholds of sin, idolatry, or rebellion in their hearts, we ask that You would tear them down. Soften their hearts to receive Your Word, and let them experience the peace and joy that comes from knowing You.
We rebuke every lie of the enemy that would keep this man and those in his life bound in spiritual blindness. The thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that they may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We declare that the power of the Gospel will prevail in their lives, and that they will be set free from every snare of the enemy. We pray that they would not only hear the Word but that it would take root in their hearts and bear fruit (Luke 8:15).
Heavenly Father, we also ask that You would raise up laborers to share the Good News with them. Let Your Church be bold and unashamed to proclaim the truth of Jesus Christ, for faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God (Romans 10:17). Give them opportunities to hear the Gospel clearly and to respond in repentance and faith.
We pray all of this with confidence, knowing that Your Word does not return void but accomplishes the purpose for which You sent it (Isaiah 55:11). We trust that You are already at work in their lives, drawing them to Yourself. May they come to know Jesus as their Savior, Lord, and Friend, and may their lives be transformed by the power of Your love.
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
