Beloved of All
Heavenly Father pls kindly remove all hardheadness and all stiff necked from head. In Jesus Christ name. amen.

We come before the Lord with this heartfelt plea, recognizing the struggle against pride, stubbornness, and resistance to God’s will. The Bible warns us clearly about the dangers of a hardened heart. In Exodus 32:9, the Lord said of the Israelites, "I have seen these people, and behold, they are a stiff-necked people." Their stubbornness led them away from God’s best for them, and we must guard our hearts against the same sin.

Proverbs 29:1 reminds us, "He who is often rebuked and stiffens his neck will suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy." This is a sobering truth, when we resist correction, we open ourselves to destruction. But the good news is that God is gracious and ready to soften our hearts when we humbly seek Him. In Ezekiel 36:26, He promises, "I will also give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh."

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, acknowledging our need for Your transforming power. We confess that there are times when we resist Your will, cling to our own ways, and harden our hearts against Your correction. Forgive us, Lord. We ask that You break every chain of pride, stubbornness, and rebellion in our lives. Soften our hearts, Father, so that we may be pliable in Your hands, quick to obey, and eager to follow Your leading.

Lord, we surrender our wills to You. Remove every trace of hardheadedness and stiff-necked resistance from us. Fill us with Your Holy Spirit, that we may walk in humility, wisdom, and obedience. Help us to receive Your Word with gladness and to apply it to our lives. May we be like the psalmist who prayed in Psalm 51:10, "Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me."

We declare that we are no longer slaves to sin but servants of righteousness. By the power of Jesus’ name, we break every stronghold of pride and rebellion. Let Your peace and Your presence fill us, guiding us into all truth. Thank You, Father, for Your mercy and grace that lead us to repentance. We trust in Your promise to complete the good work You have begun in us.

In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you, dear brother or sister, to remain in God’s Word daily. Meditate on Scriptures that speak to humility and obedience, such as James 4:6-7, "But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, 'God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.' Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." Surround yourself with believers who will speak truth into your life and hold you accountable. Remember, God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble. Walk in that grace, and let Him mold you into the person He has called you to be.

We are glad you brought this to prayer. The desire for God to remove a hard head and a stiff neck is itself a sign of His grace at work. Sometimes the hardest part is recognizing our own stubbornness, so asking for help is already a step in the right direction.

When we notice ourselves digging in, refusing to reconsider, or tightening against correction, we can pause and quietly pray, “Lord, soften me right here.” That simple, honest prayer can become a habit over time. It may also help to invite one trusted person to gently point out when they see that stiffness in you, not to shame you, but to help you see what you cannot see. Humility grows as we practice yielding in small moments, not all at once.

Father, we ask You to soften every hard and stiff place in this person’s heart and mind. Give them a willing spirit and a quickness to yield to You. Where they have resisted correction or insisted on their own way, grant gentle humility and the courage to change. Keep them from shame, and lead them into the freedom of a submitted life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

You do well to pray against hardheadedness and a stiff neck, for these are the marks of a proud and rebellious heart. Before destruction the heart of man is haughty, and before honor is humility. The true throne of pride everywhere is the heart of man, and a stiff neck is but the outward sign of that inward pride. Ask the Lord not only to remove the symptom but to break the heart itself, for humility must be genuine. The imitation of it is the nearest thing in the world to pride.

This prayer must go further than your head. The great practical end of the Gospel is to bring the human heart into obedience to Christ and to make the stubborn will acknowledge allegiance to His sway. Obedience is the highest practical courage. The world calls rebellion freedom, but the man who would be right with God must observe to do according to all His Word, turning not from it to the right hand or to the left. The exactness of obedience is the essence of obedience.

But you cannot produce this soft heart by your own resolution. Faith is the morning star of obedience. Faith in Jesus Christ alone is the only way to have the hard head and stiff neck healed. Come to Him as your Master as well as your Savior. A miracle must be worked upon you: the Holy Spirit must enter and re-create you, setting up within your soul a new throne whereon shall reign a new King. Pray for that.

And when you pray, pray with the sincere desire to do all that God commands. The obedience which seeks to know the Lord's will indicates the truest sincerity. Some would have the stiff neck removed so that life becomes easier, but the right motive is to be conformed to Christ. Attention to little things is a fine feature in obedience. Few rush into great crimes, yet they indulge in secret rebellion because their heart is not right with God.

Therefore, let this prayer be joined to repentance and faith. Say, Lord, I am the stiff-necked one; soften me, bend me, make me obedient. Humility walks before honor. He who has humility will have honor afterwards. The Lord resists the proud but gives grace to the humble. May He grant you the grace to bow the neck to Christ alone, and to find in that obedience the highest courage and the truest freedom.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your honest prayer to have all hardness and stubbornness removed is itself a sign that God is already working in you, for He does not despise a broken and contrite heart. Scripture says that sacrifice God desires is a broken spirit, and humility is the groundwork of all that is good.

Stubbornness hardens the soul and keeps it from hearing God, but when the heart becomes soft and attentive, it is able to obey straightway as Matthew did when he was called. He did not dispute or delay or make excuses, but rose at once and followed, showing a mind prepared for all things and breaking away from what held him back. In the same way God calls you now to a complete and ready obedience.

True humility is not only calling ourselves sinners with our lips, but bearing patiently when we are corrected, acknowledging our fault, and enduring reproof without anger. It is to be lowly in word and in deed, with all humility of mind, toward God and toward others. When the soul considers the nearness of eternity and the mercy of judgment, its stubbornness is softened and it becomes more willing to be taught and led.

So let us pray together for you.

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, we thank You for this humble request. We ask You to soften what is hard, to take away the stiff necked spirit, and to give a tender, obedient and contrite heart. Grant all humility of mind, a willingness to hear Your word and to do it without disputing, and the grace to turn quickly from what displeases You. Teach this one to walk in gentleness and forbearance, to love Your correction, and to follow Christ with complete obedience. Forgive sins through the blood of Jesus alone, and form a new heart that delights to do Your will. Amen.
