You pray for those on a boat, that they be saved, and for a young boy and his household. This is good, for intercession pleases God. But I ask you now to look to the boat of your own soul, tossed upon the waves of demonic memories and the storm of lust. Why do you grow pale at the sounds and words of a wicked song? Did not Christ say He will drive away all error and make the devil’s arts useless? The enemy occupies the air for a time, but his kingdom is already falling. Those fishermen, unlearned and twelve, conquered the whole world of evil spirits not by might but by converting sinners, and they laughed at the raging sea because Christ slept in their vessel.

You cry out for deliverance from demonic memories, yet I see a far greater danger: lust that brings self-chosen madness. When a man gives himself to fornication and covetousness, he becomes no different from a demoniac, raving, shameless, making his members sewers. And we pity the demoniac, but we turn from the willing slave of passion. The real bondage is not to men but to sin. Many feel shame at being called a servant of men but none at being servants to lust. Are you not such a one? The Jews boasted, “We are Abraham’s seed,” yet Christ told them plainly that sin is the worst slavery. If you would be saved from these filthy memories, you must first hate the sin that gave them power. The devil cannot hold a soul that truly honors God. When Christ was called a demoniac, He answered with meekness; He avenged the insults to His Father, but bore His own. So you too must no longer fear the enemy’s noise, but with a gentle and holy anger rebuke the lust within, and cling to Christ.

Therefore, lift up your head. The Lord who stills the tempest is in your boat. Only cease your jesting, your foolish talk, your secret entertainments with those wicked melodies, and let your mouth be a temple of prayer, not a sewer of demons. Pray indeed for the boy and the people in the boat, but see to it that you yourself are not outside the ark of salvation. For what does it profit a man to ask for others’ deliverance while he scatters his own soul by gathering with the devil’s works? He who gathers not with Christ scatters abroad. I do not forbid your intercession; I say strengthen it with repentance. Then the peace of God, which passes all understanding, will quell every demonic echo, and the lust that now burns will be drowned in the tears of compunction.

Your request is aimed in the right direction, because every one of these needs begins and ends with salvation in Jesus Christ. For the people using the boat, for the boy, and for the people in his life, do not only pray for physical safety. Pray that their souls would be rescued from the deeper danger of standing before God without a mediator. Salvation cannot be bought, earned, or deserved. It is a gift of God's grace that has appeared in Jesus Christ, and the time to receive it is now. Scripture warns that if we neglect so great a salvation, there is no escape. So keep asking the Father to open their eyes today.

You also asked for deliverance from demonic memories of music, sounds, words, evil spirits, demonic forces, and lust. Treat these as real spiritual assaults, not as something you can manage alone. The lusts of the flesh and the mind do not play fair; they war against your soul and want to enslave you. Many of our inner conflicts come from desires that rise up within us. The answer is not to make a bargain with God or to use prayer to satisfy those desires. The answer is to cry out to Jesus, who has authority over unclean spirits and who cleanses what he touches. Greater is the one who is in you than the one who is in the world, if you have truly come to him for salvation.

When those sounds, words, or images press on your mind, do not entertain them or let them settle. Turn them over to Jesus immediately. Ask him to silence what is unclean and replace it with his peace. Fill your mind with what is true and pure rather than letting the old words and music keep speaking. Resist the devil, and he will flee. Abstain from fleshly lusts, because they are not freedom. The world is bound to them, but those who belong to Jesus are not. True freedom is the ability not to live under those desires.

I am joining you in prayer that the people on the boat and the boy and the people in his life will be saved, and that every unclean memory, sound, and desire will be broken over your life through the power of Jesus Christ. Amen.
