We lift our hearts in agreement with this earnest plea for salvation. The Word of God declares, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16 WEB). Salvation is a gift from God, not something we can earn, but something we receive by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast" (Ephesians 2:8-9 WEB).
We pray for these individuals, this man, this boy, and all those in their lives who do not yet know Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Heavenly Father, we ask that You would open their hearts to Your truth. Soften their spirits to receive the good news of the Gospel. Remove any blindness or hardness that keeps them from seeing the light of Christ. "The god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the Good News of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not dawn on them" (2 Corinthians 4:4 WEB). Lord, shine Your light into their lives and draw them to Yourself.
We also pray for opportunities for these souls to hear the Gospel clearly and compellingly. Raise up believers in their lives who will share the love of Christ with boldness and gentleness. "How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in him whom they have not heard? How will they hear without a preacher?" (Romans 10:14 WEB). Equip Your people to be faithful witnesses, that these individuals may come to know You.
Father, we rebuke any deception or lies from the enemy that may be keeping them from salvation. We declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You will condemn (Isaiah 54:17 WEB). We pray that they would turn from sin and place their trust in Jesus Christ alone for salvation. "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9 WEB).
We also want to gently remind all who read this that salvation is found in no one else but Jesus. "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12 WEB). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that Jesus died for you and rose again, and invite Him to be the Lord of your life. "For if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9 WEB).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of love and concern for these souls. We ask that You would move mightily in their lives. Break every chain of sin, every lie of the enemy, and every barrier that keeps them from knowing You. Draw them with Your cords of love and Your bands of kindness. Surround them with Your presence and let them feel the weight of Your glory.
Lord, we ask that You would send laborers into their lives, men and women who will share the Gospel with boldness and compassion. Give them ears to hear and hearts to receive. Let them see their need for a Savior and turn to You in repentance and faith. May they experience the joy of salvation and the peace that comes from being reconciled to You.
We pray for protection over their minds and spirits. Guard them from the schemes of the enemy and fill them with Your Holy Spirit. Let them walk in the light of Your truth and be transformed by the renewing of their minds. May they grow in the knowledge of You and become disciples who make disciples.
Father, we also pray for those who are already believers in their lives. Strengthen them to be salt and light, to live out their faith in a way that draws others to You. Give them wisdom and courage to share the hope that is within them.
We declare that today is the day of salvation for these individuals. We believe that You are at work in their lives, and we trust You to complete the good work You have begun. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
