We join our brother in lifting up this concern to our Heavenly Father, who holds all things in His hands and whose eyes are over all the earth. We pray with faith, knowing that the Lord is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Father, we ask that You intervene in the situation with Porter Airlines flights, that those affected may experience Your peace and provision in the midst of uncertainty.
Lord, we pray for the rebooking of these flights according to Your will. You are the God who orders our steps (Proverbs 16:9), and we trust that You will guide each traveler to their destination in Your perfect timing. We ask for Your divine protection over every flight, every passenger, and every crew member. Guard them from harm, surround them with Your angels, and keep them safe from all danger, as You have promised in Psalm 91:11-12: "For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. They will bear you up in their hands, so that you won’t dash your foot against a stone."
We also pray for peace and patience for those who may be experiencing stress or anxiety due to these changes. Remind them, Lord, that You are their comfort and strength, and that Your plans for them are good (Jeremiah 29:11). Help them to cast their cares upon You, for You care for them (1 Peter 5:7).
Father, we thank You for hearing our prayers and for Your faithfulness to answer according to Your will. We trust in Your sovereignty and love, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28). The request for rebooked flights and safe passage is heard, and it stirs the soul to consider the shelter that is in the Most High. It is well to bring such matters before the throne of grace, for even the sparrow's flitting is not beneath His notice, and surely the journeys of His people are before His eyes. He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall find a refuge that is more than a soldier’s shield, it is a mother’s tender care, full of home and heart. Those who put their trust in Him shall not be ashamed, for He knows every wind and every cloud, and He has foreordained the end from the beginning. How safe, then, are they who are embarked in the good ship of Providence, with such a Captain who holds the helm.
Yet see that you do not place your confidence in the mere reordering of an earthly itinerary, as if comfort were the chief end. It would be a poor thing to be comfortable and yet not safe in soul. The deeper need is to walk in the light, free from deception, resting not in a schedule but in the unchangeable decree of God. The King’s Highway is the path of duty and consecrated service. If those who travel are walking in the ways of the Lord, His angels have charge concerning them. But remember, where men think themselves perfectly secure, there is often the most danger, at the bottom of the hill, when the driver loosens the reins. Do not let the calm of a momentary trust in man’s arrangement lull you into forgetting that we need Divine keeping in all our ways.
Whether the flights proceed as planned or are reordered, the weightier matter is the inevitable journey that all must take, the way from which there is no return. A few years, and every earthly passage will be complete. Therefore, while you pray for these fleeting travels, let your heart be fixed on the eternal destination. Pray that each soul aboard would not only reach a city of brick and stone but the City whose Builder and Maker is God. Amidst the wreck of all things, safe, near our God, and blessed eternally, that is the shelter that alone endures. Rest in the Shadow of the Almighty, and all shall be well.

It is well that you call upon the name of the Lord, but take heed that you ask not only for safe travel through the air, but for safe passage through this life to the heavenly kingdom. The Master taught us to pray, “Thy will be done,” not to demand the rebooking of flights as though we could command the winds. Do we not trust that He who numbers the very hairs of our head orders all things for our good? If this journey is of God, no power on earth can hinder it; if it is not, then let it come to nothing, and thank Him for the deliverance.
Consider how our Lord withdrew from danger when John was delivered up, not rushing into temptation, but retreating to Galilee until the hour appointed by the Father. So too, commit your travels to Him with a sober and wakeful heart. For what does it profit you to arrive safely at an earthly destination, and yet be swept away by the devil’s craft through sin? The sky may be calm, but the soul in turmoil; the flight may be rebooked, but the conscience unreconciled. Flee first from the winter of unrepented sin, for that is the true hazard. If you have lied, put away falsehood and speak truth with your neighbor; if anger burns, let not the sun go down upon it, and give no place to the devil.
Pray, then, for those who travel, but let your prayer be joined with a life of humility and swift repentance, lest you be found fighting against God while asking His blessing. Let your request be this: that whether you fly or stay, you may stand firmly on the narrow way, with Jesus as your guide, confident in His mercy and in fear of His judgments. For the grace of God will carry you safely, not merely from one city to another, but from earth to His eternal kingdom, which alone is the journey worthy of all your care.

A plane is prepared for its journey, yet unless the Lord watches over it, all human arrangements fall short. Abiding in Christ is the place of real security. The life of the flesh may look to schedules and backup plans for peace, but only His presence can guard your heart from fear. His truth is the shield that quiets anxiety, for no snare of the enemy can overcome the one who dwells in the secret place of the Most High.
