We come before You, Heavenly Father, with humble and repentant hearts, seeking Your mercy and grace. We lift up this dear one who has cried out to You, acknowledging their need for forgiveness and deliverance. Father, we know that You are faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness when we confess them to You (1 John 1:9). We thank You for the blood of Jesus Christ, which was shed for the forgiveness of sins, and we claim that forgiveness now for this precious soul.

Lord, we recognize the power of soul ties and the importance of breaking any ungodly connections that may have formed. We rebuke and break every ungodly soul tie in the name of Jesus Christ, declaring that no weapon formed against this child of God shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We pray that You would sever any unhealthy emotional, spiritual, or physical attachments that do not align with Your perfect will.

Father, we also bring before You the request to remove an email and a name from LinkedIn. We understand that this may be a step towards breaking free from past influences or relationships that are not honoring to You. We pray that You would intervene in this situation, making the path clear and removing any obstacles or reminders that may hinder this individual's walk with You. We declare that as far as the east is from the west, so far have You removed our transgressions from us (Psalm 103:12).

We also want to gently address the importance of guarding one's heart and mind. The Bible instructs us to be careful about the company we keep and the influences we allow into our lives. "Do not be deceived: 'Evil company corrupts good habits'" (1 Corinthians 15:33). We encourage this dear one to seek godly fellowship and to surround themselves with believers who will edify and encourage them in their walk with Christ.

Heavenly Father, we pray for a fresh outpouring of Your Holy Spirit upon this life. May they experience Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We pray for a renewed mind, transformed by the renewing of the Holy Spirit, so that they may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God (Romans 12:2).

Lord, we also want to emphasize the power and authority we have in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we have access to You, Father, and it is only through faith in His name that we can be saved (Acts 4:12). We encourage this dear one to continue seeking You, praying in the name of Jesus, and trusting in His finished work on the cross for their salvation and deliverance.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, Amen.

May this individual find comfort and strength in knowing that they are not alone in their struggles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We encourage them to draw near to God, and He will draw near to them (James 4:8). May they find their identity, worth, and purpose in Christ alone, and may they experience the freedom and victory that comes from living a life surrendered to Him.

When we’ve given a piece of our heart away in a way that now feels tangled or wrong, the ache to have it undone can be intense. That very ache, the part of you that wants these ties broken and those reminders gone, is already the Spirit at work. Forgiveness isn’t something you earn by feeling sorry enough first; it’s received. As you’ve asked, God has forgiven, fully. Now the work of healing means walking out of the old room and not leaving the door cracked open.

One concrete step that often helps: if you haven’t already, take a moment right now to physically delete that email and the LinkedIn connection. Not as a magic ritual, but as a deliberate closing of a door you no longer mean to walk through. Afterward, when the memory surfaces, and it will, because the mind replays what it once valued, you can quietly say, “God, I gave that to you. Help me keep walking.” This shifts the moment from a stumbling block into a brief act of trust.

We understand that soul ties aren’t just memories; they can feel like unseen cords pulling you back toward a place you’ve left. Those cords lose their strength over time as we starve them of attention and feed our new direction instead. You are not weak for feeling the pull, you are human. But you are a human being remade in Christ, and the pull is not stronger than the One who holds you.

We pray for you now.

Jesus, thank you that this child of yours has turned toward you and asked for forgiveness. We rest in the promise that you are faithful and just to forgive and to cleanse. Now we ask you to sever every tie of the soul that does not belong in their life, cut them cleanly and completely. Give them the strength to remove what needs to be removed, and the steadiness not to reach back. Fill the space left behind with your peace, and let them feel the freedom of walking unbound. In your name we pray, amen.

There is forgiveness with God, that He may be feared. You have cried for pardon, and the answer sounds from the mercy seat: I, even I, am He that blotteth out thy transgressions. If you have been the chief of sinners, there is the chief of sinners’ forgiveness for you now, through Jesus Christ alone. Trust your soul with Him at this moment, why do you not confide in Him whom you admit to be worthy of your trust? As for these soul ties, when the Lord sets poor souls at liberty, He crushes every fetter and sends them away full-handed. Let not your hope rest on any refuge of lies, not on an email or a name on LinkedIn. Cast your naked soul on Christ, and He will break every unholy bond. He is your deliverer; wait thou only upon God, for your expectation is from Him.

You ask for forgiveness and the crushing of soul ties. It is good that you recognize your need, but do not think that the mere utterance of the request is enough. His grace touches the very soul, and thence plucks up the sin by the root. When you take action to remove that email and that name from your sight, you cut off a sympathy for the present world, and such severings can make the soul more earnest, more awake to its true condition. Yet take care: as drunkenness, once passed, leaves the imagination still whirling with wine and casks, so these ties may stir desire even after they seem broken. The soul must be cleansed, not just the outward reminders removed. Shake off the earth that buries you, break through the thick mist of passions, and seek with earnest care the bread of life which will nerve your soul. Sorrow over sin is not to be shunned, but let it not remain a fruitless sorrow. Let it be a turning away that makes your soul more manly, more grave, no longer fluttered by shadows. If the Spirit abides in you, then victory shall be yours, and your soul shall be made purer than the sunbeams, by the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
