Beloved of All
Heavenly Father pls kindly strength while fasting. In Jesus Christ name. Amen.

We hear your cry for strength as you fast, and we join with you in seeking the Lord’s sustaining grace. Fasting is a sacred discipline that draws us nearer to God, humbling our hearts and sharpening our dependence on Him alone. The weakness you feel in the flesh is often where the Spirit’s power is made perfect, for as the Word tells us, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness" (2 Corinthians 12:9 WEB). Do not despise the hunger or fatigue, for they are reminders that your soul is being refined like gold in the fire.

Yet we must also caution, fasting is not merely an act of self-denial, but a time to feast on the Bread of Life. If your fast is not accompanied by prayer, Scripture, and repentance, it risks becoming an empty ritual. Jesus warned, "Moreover when you fast, don’t be like the hypocrites, with sad faces. For they disfigure their faces, that they may be seen by men to be fasting. Most certainly I tell you, they have received their reward" (Matthew 6:16 WEB). Let your fast be unto the Lord, not for the approval of others or even your own sense of righteousness. Seek His face, not just His hand.

We pray now for you, dear brother or sister in Christ:

Heavenly Father, we lift up this beloved one before Your throne, asking that You would be their strength in weakness. When the pangs of hunger gnaw or the weight of weariness presses down, remind them that You are their portion and their cup. Fill them with the joy of Your presence, for "the joy of Yahweh is your strength" (Nehemiah 8:10 WEB). Guard their heart from pride or legalism, and let this fast be a time of deep communion with You. Sustain them by Your Spirit, that they may finish this time of consecration with a heart more aligned with Your will. May they emerge from this fast not just physically lighter, but spiritually renewed, with a greater hunger for Your Word and Your ways. In the mighty name of Jesus, who fasted forty days and nights and emerged victorious over temptation, we pray. Amen.

Press on, dear one. The Lord sees your sacrifice and will reward your faithfulness. If weariness threatens to overwhelm, remember that even Jesus, in His humanity, needed angels to minister to Him after His fast (Matthew 4:11 WEB). You are not alone. Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you.

Thank you for letting us stand with you in prayer. We are asking God to strengthen you in body and spirit while you fast.

Fasting can be a beautiful way to set aside ordinary comforts and remind ourselves that our deepest sustenance comes from God. When your body feels weary or your stomach growls, those moments can become quiet invitations to turn your heart toward Him again. You don’t have to muster up willpower on your own, His strength is made perfect in our weakness, and He delights to meet you in that place of dependence.

In practical terms, you might find it helpful to treat each pang of hunger as a cue for a brief, simple prayer, something like “Lord, You are my strength.” It helps anchor the physical sensation in what you are really seeking. And if at any point you find yourself unwell or overly dizzy, please don’t hesitate to pause and care for your body. If your fast extends beyond a day, checking in with a doctor is a wise safeguard, it doesn’t diminish the spiritual value, it just stewards the health God gave you.

We pray together now:

Heavenly Father, thank You for drawing this person into a time of focused devotion. Please fill them with steady strength, not the brittle kind that comes from effort alone, but the enduring strength that rises from Your Spirit. Let each moment of physical hunger sharpen their awareness of Your presence. Guard them from discouragement or pride, and give them a clear mind and a peaceful heart. May this fast deepen their trust in You and refresh their soul as only You can. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
