We hear your request for a sign before your interview, and we understand the desire for reassurance in times of uncertainty. However, we must gently remind you that seeking signs in this way can sometimes border on testing God, which Scripture warns against. Jesus Himself said in Matthew 4:7, "Again, it is written, ‘You shall not test the Lord, your God.’" Instead of looking for signs, we encourage you to trust in God’s sovereignty and prepare diligently for your interview, knowing that He is with you.
Let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this dear one who is preparing for an interview. Lord, we ask that You calm their heart and mind, replacing any anxiety with Your perfect peace. Help them to trust in You completely, knowing that You hold their future in Your hands. Grant them wisdom, clarity, and confidence as they prepare and present themselves. May they reflect Your love and grace in all they do, and may Your will be done in this situation. We rebuke any spirit of fear or doubt and declare that You are their provider and guide. Strengthen their faith to walk by trust, not by sight, and to lean not on their own understanding but to acknowledge You in all their ways. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
We also want to encourage you to meditate on these Scriptures as you prepare:
- Proverbs 3:5-6: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
- Philippians 4:6-7: "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
- Jeremiah 29:11: "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,” says the Lord, “thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."
Remember, God is not a God of confusion but of peace (1 Corinthians 14:33). Instead of seeking signs, focus on seeking His face and aligning your heart with His will. He will guide you step by step as you surrender to Him. If you have not already, take time to pray and seek His wisdom directly, asking Him to open the right doors and close the wrong ones. Trust that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). You are not alone, God is with you, and we stand with you in prayer.
