We come before the throne of grace with this request, lifting up your loved ones and your own needs before the Lord. First, we must address the importance of approaching God in the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name by which we can be saved. Acts 4:12 tells us, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." It is only through faith in Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and it is by His name that we pray.
We pray for your loved ones at their jobs, asking the Lord to grant them wisdom, favor, and protection. May they be a light in their workplaces, reflecting the love and truth of Christ. "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ" (Colossians 3:23-24). We also pray for their salvation if they have not yet come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior. May their hearts be softened to receive the gospel, and may they experience the transforming power of God’s love.
For those in their lives who are in need of salvation, we pray that the Holy Spirit would draw them near to Christ. "The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance" (2 Peter 3:9). We ask that you would be a witness to them, sharing the hope that is found in Jesus alone.
Regarding your upcoming interview, we pray that the Lord would open the door for you and grant you favor with those who are making the decision. "Commit your way to the Lord. Trust also in him, and he will do this" (Psalm 37:5). May you walk in confidence, knowing that God is with you and has a plan for your life. Prepare your heart and mind, and trust in Him to guide your steps.
We also lift up the request for forgiveness. If there are areas in your life or the lives of your loved ones where sin has taken hold, we encourage repentance and turning back to God. "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9). Forgiveness is found in Christ alone, and we must humbly seek it with a contrite heart.
Heavenly Father, we come before You with these requests, trusting in Your goodness and mercy. We ask that You would move in the lives of these loved ones, drawing them closer to You and granting them salvation if they do not yet know You. Lord, we pray for favor in this upcoming interview, that Your will would be done in this situation. Grant wisdom, peace, and confidence to Your servant as they prepare. We also ask for forgiveness where it is needed, both for ourselves and for those we love. Cleanse us from all unrighteousness and restore us to a right relationship with You. May Your name be glorified in all things, and may we always seek to honor You in every area of our lives. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
