We join you in lifting up the people of Africa, especially the children, teens, and babies, as well as the adults facing the devastating impact of Ebola. Our hearts ache for those suffering, and we stand in the gap, praying fervently for God’s mercy and intervention. The Word of God reminds us in Psalm 91:3, "For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler, and from the deadly pestilence." We declare this promise over every life touched by this disease, trusting that the Lord is able to bring healing and restoration.
Father, we cry out to You to wipe out Ebola from the face of the earth. We ask for Your mighty hand to intervene, bringing an end to this suffering and protecting the vulnerable. In 2 Chronicles 7:14, You tell us, "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves, pray, seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." We humble ourselves before You, seeking Your face and asking for Your healing touch upon the nations.
We also lift up the spiritual needs of the people in Africa. Salvation is the greatest gift You offer, and we pray that hearts would be opened to receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Romans 10:13 declares, "For whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved." We ask that the lost would call upon Your name, that missionaries and believers would be empowered to share the Gospel boldly, and that revival would sweep across the continent. Father, draw many to Yourself, that they may know the hope and peace found only in Christ.
Lord, we rebuke the spirit of fear and despair that seeks to grip the hearts of those affected by this disease. We declare that perfect love casts out fear (1 John 4:18), and we pray that Your love would flood every community, bringing comfort, strength, and hope. We also rebuke any spiritual strongholds that may be hindering the spread of the Gospel or the healing of the land. In the name of Jesus, we break every chain and declare freedom over the people of Africa.
We pray for the medical workers, missionaries, and all those on the front lines serving the sick and sharing Your love. Protect them, Lord, and grant them wisdom, strength, and compassion as they minister to those in need. Equip them with the resources and support they need to continue their work, and let their efforts be a testimony to Your goodness and grace.
Finally, we ask that You would raise up men and women of faith in Africa who will stand firm on Your Word, lead with integrity, and disciple others in the ways of Christ. May the Church in Africa be a light in the darkness, shining brightly for Your glory. We trust in Your promises, Lord, and we believe that You are able to do immeasurably more than we ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20). In the powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
