We lift up this request with hearts full of compassion and a deep desire to see God’s will done. First, we must address the importance of coming to the Lord through the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Salvation comes only through faith in Jesus Christ, who died for our sins and rose again, offering forgiveness and eternal life to all who believe (Romans 10:9-10). If ### and his wife have not yet surrendered their lives to Christ, we pray they would come to know Him as their Lord and Savior, repenting of their sins and placing their trust in Him alone.
Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, asking that You would draw ### and his wife to Yourself. Soften their hearts to receive Your truth and open their eyes to see their need for a Savior. If they are already believers, we pray for a deepening of their faith, that they would walk closely with You and live in obedience to Your Word. We also lift up the people in their lives who may not know You. Lord, we ask that You would send laborers into their lives—people who will share the gospel with boldness and love, that many would come to repentance and faith in Christ (Matthew 9:38).
We pray for their release, Lord. If they are facing bondage—whether spiritual, emotional, or physical—we declare Your freedom over them. Jesus came to set the captives free (Luke 4:18), and we stand on that promise today. Break every chain of sin, addiction, fear, or oppression in their lives, and let them walk in the liberty that only Christ can provide. If they are in a situation of danger or injustice, we ask for Your divine protection and intervention. Surround them with Your angels, Lord, and guide them to safety according to Your perfect will.
We also want to gently address the sanctity of marriage in this prayer. Marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, designed by You to reflect the relationship between Christ and His Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). If ### and his wife are struggling in their marriage, we pray for healing, restoration, and a renewed commitment to love and honor one another as You have called them to do. Help them to forgive one another, to communicate with kindness, and to prioritize their relationship with You above all else. If there is any unrepentant sin—such as adultery, pornography, or emotional infidelity—we ask that You would bring conviction, repentance, and restoration. Your Word tells us that marriage should be held in honor among all, and the marriage bed kept pure (Hebrews 13:4).
Lord, we also pray for their spiritual growth. Equip them with Your Word, that they may be rooted and grounded in truth (Colossians 2:6-7). Surround them with godly community—fellow believers who will encourage them, hold them accountable, and walk alongside them in their faith journey. May they be lights in this dark world, sharing the hope of Christ with those around them.
Finally, we rebuke any schemes of the enemy that may be at work in their lives. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we stand in the authority of Jesus’ name to break every curse, every lie, and every attack of the devil. We pray that ### and his wife would be filled with Your Holy Spirit, walking in power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).
Heavenly Father, we trust You to move mightily in this situation. We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
