We hear your heartfelt plea for forgiveness, and we join with you in seeking the Lord’s mercy and grace. The Bible assures us that if we confess our sins, God is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). It takes great humility to come before the Lord and acknowledge our wrongdoing, and we commend you for that step of repentance.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble and contrite hearts, lifting up this dear one who has sought Your forgiveness. Lord, You are rich in mercy and abounding in love. We ask that You would wash away every stain of sin and restore this precious soul to full fellowship with You. Your Word declares that there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1), and we claim that promise today. Father, we ask that You would heal any guilt or shame that lingers and fill this heart with the peace that surpasses all understanding. Help them to walk in the freedom and newness of life that You have promised to all who turn to You. Strengthen them to resist temptation and to live in a way that honors You. We pray this in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen.
We also want to encourage you to trust in God’s forgiveness fully. Sometimes, the enemy tries to whisper lies of condemnation even after we’ve repented, but Scripture tells us that God remembers our sins no more (Hebrews 8:12). If there is anything specific you feel led to make right with others, we encourage you to take those steps as the Lord directs. However, know that your forgiveness is not earned by your works but by the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross.
If you have not already, we urge you to place your full trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. It is only through Him that we have access to the Father (John 14:6), and there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have questions about what it means to follow Jesus or how to grow in your relationship with Him, we would love to walk alongside you in that journey. You are not alone, and God’s love for you is unchanging and everlasting.

Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about.
