We lift up our hearts in prayer for all adopted children, knowing that each one is fearfully and wonderfully made in the image of God. First and foremost, we pray for their salvation, for there is no greater need than to know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. The Bible tells us, *"For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life"* (John 3:16). We pray that every adopted child would come to a saving knowledge of Jesus, that their hearts would be turned toward Him, and that they would walk in the fullness of His love and purpose for their lives.
We also stand in the gap for their physical and emotional well-being. Lord, we ask that You provide for their every need—safe and loving homes, good jobs, and stability in their lives. Your Word assures us, *"But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:19). We trust You to open doors of opportunity, to guide them into fulfilling work, and to surround them with godly influences who will speak life and truth into them.
Father, we rebuke the spirit of comparison and unhealthy attachments that may seek to take root in their hearts. The enemy desires to steal, kill, and destroy, but we declare that these children are set apart for Your glory. We pray that they would find their identity in Christ alone, not in the opinions or standards of this world. Help them to fix their eyes on You, as it is written, *"Let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith"* (Hebrews 12:1-2). May they walk in the confidence of who You say they are—beloved, chosen, and called for a purpose.
We also lift up the treatment centers and those who care for children in difficult situations. Lord, we ask that You would intervene in any place where injustice, neglect, or harm is occurring. Give wisdom to those in authority, and let Your justice and mercy prevail. *"Defend the weak, the poor, and the fatherless. Maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed"* (Psalm 82:3). We pray that every child would be treated with dignity and love, as You intended.
Lastly, we declare that these children are not forgotten by You. You know each one by name, and You have a plan for their lives. We pray that they would experience Your peace, Your provision, and Your presence in every season. May they grow in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man, just as Jesus did (Luke 2:52). We commit them into Your hands, trusting that You will complete the good work You have begun in them.
Heavenly Father, we thank You for hearing our prayers. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the One who came to seek and save the lost, and the One through whom we have access to Your throne of grace. Amen.
